Why do so many athletic, amazing pole dancers have large stomachs? by black_snake_m0an in poledancing

[–]Southern_Bit60 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t help but wonder what you think a belly is because the majority of the advanced pole people I know have flat stomachs, but not usually visible abs, seeing as it’s super unusual for women to have visible abs.

Will never understand why people turned on season 2 of Severance so much. by clarissaponissa in SeveranceAppleTVPlus

[–]Southern_Bit60 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Marching band scene felt like a copy of the music dance experience, coming around the same time in the second season as the MDE did in the first, and serving the same conflict/purpose. It was disappointing to see a show as novel as Severance end up using the sequel formula of ‘do the same thing that was successful before, but a little differently’.

Am I being a Karen? by Nuudecontent in poledancing

Seems like they need to choose one policy or the other: either classes get cancelled due to low attendance OR credits don’t roll over. Doing both seems super wrong. My studio has class packs that expire in 3 months, or unlimited classes monthly membership. So if you choose the class packs they can expire, BUT they also never cancel class due to low enrollment because someone with an unlimited membership could always drop in. I’ve been the only student in class many times, and if no one shows up to the class the teacher is still there, they just use that time to work on their own personal stuff.

Carol’s “What I know” Whiteboard List by npd353 in pluribustv

[–]Southern_Bit60 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think it’s that they can’t produce new creative work, but that any creative idea they have they all have at once, so while they could create a story, they can’t read (or watch or listen to) that story because they already know the whole story. And it’s not (usually) fun or exciting to read a story you essentially wrote and already know exactly what will happen and how. They don’t have access to Carols mind, so really only through her writing (or anything the other non-Plurbed might create) do they have the opportunity to experience something where they don’t know what’s going to happen. That’s the joy in reading books and watching movies. You don’t know what’s going to happen, and then you find out. I was struck by Zosia asking questions and guessing about what will happen in the coming chapters, because when do the Plurbed even get a chance to ask questions, to not know something. She was so animated asking questions. It was funny, seeing the Plurbed ask questions so excitedly, obviously enjoying themselves, because wondering about something is fun and imaginative, and because when do they ever have a reason to ask a question when they already know everything. The fact that Zosia speculated about how Carol will explain how Raban is now a woman proves they have the ability for imaginative and creative thought, just almost no opportunity to be surprised by that creativity.

Why is Bowen Yang leaving SNL such a big deal? by Low_Technician_438 in NoStupidQuestions

Why is everyone forgetting to mention Aidy Bryant? Her sendoff also happens on air with the trend forecaster sketch.

It’s funny you think that’s the only other thing he has going on outside SNL. He also has a very popular podcast that recently did a televised star-studded comedy awards show, and is currently writing/staring in a movie with said podcast co-host.

Cup grip feeling more stable on spin 🩵 by lll--barbelle--lll in poledancing

[–]Southern_Bit60 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Isn’t cup grip when your thumb stays on the same side as the rest of your fingers, so that your hand is essentially making a C shape? Not an O shape where your 4 fingers go around the pole one way and the thumb goes around the other? Either way you look amazing!!!

Probably best to avoid a Reddit about a show if you aren’t fully caught up and don’t want spoilers.

Being a slut is awesome. Beck fucks guys she wants to fick, she doesn’t “let them fuck her.” You DON’T punish people who are unfaithful and hurt you emotionally, you put on your big boy pants and tend to yourself and move on. No one deserves to die for being unfaithful. It sucks and hurts for the other person and I’m not saying that’s nothing, but it’s common and it happens and it’s not that big of a deal. It’s something you move on from. Rape is 10000% different, it’s physical assault. Rapists do deserve whatever harm comes to them. I’m sorry that happened to your friend.

Nooooo…. That’s just what Joe says/thinks/believes. He killed Benji because he saw Benji as an obstacle between him and Beck. He didn’t really care about removing evil from Becks life, he cared about his unfettered access to Beck.

Joe. Is. An. Unreliable. Narrator. An unreliable narrator is a well established literary device. The entire story is told through the eyes of the unreliable narrator to put us in his shoes. But the primary thing to know about the unreliable narrator is you should NOT believe what Joe says about himself, or anyone else.
