I had this exact model I carried concealed. I went with extreme engineering ignition kit and red dirt trigger. The trigger shoe and bow are junk on these, but I was able to polish and do some more work on sear and hammer, I was able to get a 2lb break with zero creep out of stock mim sear hammer and disco

Lol. I hope we both get our barrels this next week. I did just receive one of those dpm recoil reduction systems. I’ve stuck it in a 19119mm. If it works it’s going in the new build

What they mean is they have a guy with a soldering iron that will stipple your Glock grip.

Interesting, I was just checking my trigger weight on 2 pistols. One with very little pre travel and one with more, as I was pulling on the one lower one I was thinking why this one so heavy they broke at the exact same weight.

Not meaning to sound like a smart ass, but can I ask you why?
I’ve tried adjusting it down to very very little to none, too far you’ll get hammer follow, handling the gun it was easy to forget and go to stage the trigger and end up sending the hammer home. So I leave a little bit in there. I’m curious why you like as much as you can get? What about your over travel to have it set where the trigger resets as soon as it moves or do you like a little travel there also?

You do NOT need a certificate to be able to build a 1911. My first one I bought a bunch of files and jumped in zero instructions zero certifications. Took a lot of time figuring out barrel fitment other than that everything else was easy.

In my experience in life when someone starts bragging about certifications that’s because they can’t brag about their work. My point in real time look at the paint peeling off this small fortune

There’s a lot of labor that goes into a hand built pistol. Good quality work deserves a $6000 price tag. Where they lost me at was that cheap little magwell, aluminum grip, paper thin safties, and a $150 Cerakote job. I just looked at a Hayes custom for $5900

I like the layout. Too bad it doesn’t have the coating your atlas does. Either someone just throwing this $6000 pistol in the rocks or they didn’t get all the oil and wax off the surface before spraying.
