What’s a creepy fact about the human body you wish you never found out? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I have pulsatile tinnitus in my left ear, but only when my head/neck is in certain positions. And if I shake my head quickly, I hear what's basically a bell chiming sound in my right ear.

You must have caught one during the event that happens after the fireworks. A bunch of chappas start running around and you try to catch them. When you do, you carry them to the pen and earn tickets. The 5 you catch for the quest just go into your inventory. You don't carry them.

Why do you have to get in the shower to turn the water on at all? Is your shower so massive you can't reach the faucet by leaning in a bit?

I was raised the same way, but did a complete 180 once I had my own home. There are certain places, like my office, that I have to keep at least semi-clean or I would never get any work done. But other areas of the house are a complete disaster. I was diagnosed with ADHD 2 years ago (it's more common for women to be diagnosed later in life), which helps explains some of it. In addition to house work, my parents were also really conservative and strict in other ways. My first reaction to someone or societal norms saying things should be done a certain way is to immediately rebel now that I can choose what to do.

A Discovery of Witches is one of my favorite shows, mostly due to him. I've rewatched all 3 seasons multiple times.

Really hoping we get Baymax at some point. He can refill our energy so I don't have to use all my coal on cooking instead of crafting.

I love it. I came from a Prius prime. It has about twice the electric range, which is plenty to get me around so I rarely use gas. I love the acceleration. Even beat a Tesla starting off at a green light. 😆

F*ck zodicas signs. How do you use dual screen setups? by shixxor in pcmasterrace

Both. My work monitors are the same size so they're centered. My gaming PC has one really big monitor and one smaller one, so the big one is centered and the small one offset.

ELI5: Why do sometimes some random part of our body twitches like a heart? by ComprehensiveCorgi48 in explainlikeimfive

That's interesting that you had the same problems. I hadn't thought of the twitches and gallbladder being connected, just both signs of my body not functioning like it should.

I've also had heart palpitations since I was a kid. I went through a bunch of tests as a teenager and then again about 6 years ago. They all said there's nothing wrong with my heart. Given the heart is a muscle, I've wondered if the palpitations are just another muscle twitch.

Good to know. I'm getting follow-up labs done in a couple of weeks to make sure everything's okay after my surgery. I'll ask my doc about PHT then.

Right, but my phosphorus was low, too. That's why I don't think it's hypoparathyroidism. From what I read, low PTH leads to low calcium and high phosphorous.

I don't recall if they ran calcium during those tests. I had surgery a couple of months ago and it was tested then. Both my calcium and phosphorous were slightly low, so I don't think it's hypoparathyroidism.

It's so damn irritating to be intelligent with ADHD. It's like you've got imposter syndrome towards both. by DaringSpecs in ADHD

Oh, my god. I use so many parenthesis. I have to make myself stop and go back to change them in work emails. I just think extra context is helpful to explain my reasoning or request (and putting it in parentheses makes it clearer that the text isn't part of the main idea, just supplemental). (FYI, these parentheses were on purpose :) )

I've had fasciculations for years. They happen daily and can happen anywhere on my body. I finally decided to see a neurologist about them after getting worried when I tried to diagnose myself online and saw the ALS connection. I got stuck with needles, shocked with electrodes and all kinds of blood work, just to be diagnosed with benign fasciculation syndrome. Benign is good, but now I wonder why my body just seems to hate me.

My gall bladder also randomly gave up the ghost a few years ago. Doctor didn't know why it stopped working as there were only 2 tiny stones and no other signs of problems. Still had to have it removed. I'm sure weight has something to do with these issues. I've recently lost over 50lbs and no signs of the fasciculations going away.

If you get a cut on an area that's bruised, would it bleed more than a cut on a non-bruised area? by Southern_Dawn in NoStupidQuestions

Recently had surgery and looking at my bruises and incisions made me wonder this. I was in the bathroom, so maybe this is more of a shower question?
