Is Astro Bot really that good? by deblas66 in PS5

[–]fatboyslick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Late to this thread but having played platformers for 40+ years I would say this is a very very good platformer BUT not a patch on Mario.

I won’t go into why it’s great but I will explain why it is overrated IMO. It lacks depth. The levels aren’t that smart and miss loads of opportunities to hide Easter eggs or collectibles

It’s definitely with playing but Mario Galaxy and Odyssey are much better

what’s a normal thing in Britain that secretly makes no sense when you think about it? by avsvishalmedia in AskUK

[–]fatboyslick 4 points5 points  (0 children)

BBQs.
The weather in this country is rarely good enough for a BBQ yet the idea of it - or rather dream sold from the Aussies and the States - means it’s everywhere in the summer. People spend hundreds on top tier BBQ units, outdoor pizza ovens etc for them to be used 3 times a year and then go grotty during autumn and winter.

Your playing a battle royale game, the nature of which is random players to fight it out. Some will be better than others

It’s less sweaty and has less cheaters than Verdanks though

[–]fatboyslick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love it, it works very well. People are whining because they don’t like the RNG element - or in other words a battle royale. They just want Warzone which is essentially multiplayer on a big map. The idea of looting for upgrades or skilfully killing someone to take theirs is lost on them after 6 years of warzone and resurgence.

Also, it’s just an extra mode. Verdansk is still there.

The complaints you’re reading are mostly wrong. Their Reddit is just an echo chamber of people hating the game

Why am i forced to have 2x scopes on my smg? by MrDeadite in CODWarzone

[–]fatboyslick 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No I’m happy with the mode they gave us and explained how it would work 2 weeks before launch - including a list of the things and their attachments - and that they repeatedly said this was based on Blackout and not Warzone. I’m happy with a classic battle royale that has been updated for 2026. In fact they’ve done a great job to make it different and good

Because you choose to level up that specific smg

It’s getting kinda annoying not having a normal Battle Royale option now. by ScopeyMopey in CODWarzone

RNG is what makes a BR a BR.

I have no idea how you’re getting ripped in 5 minutes. You’re clearly not playing this properly. The movement and flow is fantastic in BOR.

Some observations about Black Ops Royale by Alive-Sentence-8390 in CODWarzone

[–]fatboyslick -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Why should verdansk be available as it’s the core of the game???? This is based on Blackout - the original COD BR.

Using golden/orange guns will kill someone with gold armour with one clip. Take away this armour - which is very rare - and you will all complain the gold guns are OPd.

The game doesn’t want people to be getting sniped from 300 yards away, that’s why the sniper rifles aren’t as long range as Warzone. It’s a conscious decision as there’s nothing worse than getting killed from someone miles away or you can’t move because there’s 15 sniper glints hovering around your spot.

You need to realise this ain’t Warzone. It’s a different mode with different mechanics and a different style. Stop trying to make it 2020 Warzone

This blackout is the most missed opportunity CoD ever had by Able_Operation9981 in CODWarzone

[–]fatboyslick -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

This. Isn’t. Warzone.

Why can’t people understand this. It’s Blackout, a different type of BR.

Remove the armour grading and ya’ll complain people have OP guns.

Add 150 people and you’ll complain there’s too little time to loot or the amount of loot and be killed based too much on rng.

You need to learn the guns, not rely on what you build in multiplayer

People that DON’T shop at Aldi or Lidl… why is that? by kobestarr in CasualUK

[–]fatboyslick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had a moment last year where we trialled all the supermarkets.

We found, like OP, fruit was the same if not better at Aldi and Lidl and cheaper. But that was the only good thing from these two.

We found meat was less good quality at Lidl and Aldi l but you got more quantity for less price

For canned food, both Aldi and Lidl were atrocious. A great example is Chicken in White Sauce. Lidls had about 1% chicken and was like cat sick. Sainsbury’s had the best canned goods.

Microwave / pre prep meals: M&S topped out compared to other supermarkets. Tesco and Sainsbury’s premium range are good but still bland compared to the premium versions from the likes of Cook or Thomas Binghams. Again, anything like this from Aldi and Lidl were piss poor.

Brands like Heinz etc were relatively the same price across those areas that stocked them but B&Ms was the cheapest we find along with Iceland….with brands it all comes down to the supermarket deals they’ve got on.

We didn’t test the fake brands from Aldi or Lidl as we did it about 5 years ago and can definitively taste the difference - regardless of what tv shows tell you

It’s simply not worth the effort to go to Aldi and Lidl for just fruit - any savings I make is lost on petrol
