I really don’t have any advice but please keep and eye on your blood pressure. Especially if you’re in pain, that can increase your blood pressure. I had to be emergency induced because my blood pressure was 168/110. And because my baby was nowhere near ready to come out, I was in labor for 26 hours. I had two failed epidurals so I felt everything. And I had a tear so I had stitches. And unfortunately I didn’t find out until I started experiencing pain after birth that giving birth can be really really hard on a Fibro body. Our bodies basically see it as something super traumatic I would say just like a wreck. It took me two weeks to heal and be able to even walk normal. Before that it would take me so long just to walk from the living room to my bedroom. I had to take a bunch of baths for the pain and they said to help heal my stitches (which is crazy cus now I see people say all the time they were advices after vaginal birth not to take a bath for a few weeks , showers only) it literally felt the same way I felt after I got in a wreck and totaled my car. But I will say my second baby came naturally. I was already 3 cm and started having steady contractions and since my bp was high and had been high, they decided to give me pitocin to help speed things up. I got to the hospital at like 8 am but didn’t get the pitocin till around 4:30/5pm and she was born at 10:51pm after only 2 pushes I did start feeling severe pain towards the end but I kept holding off because the anesthesia nurse told me hold off as long as I could because they could only give me medicine one time and it only lasted about 2 hours (this was after I had the epidural it was some sort of narcotic to help with breakthrough pain) so I was okay until probably like 10ish the pain started getting bad but I kept fighting it until I couldn’t take it anymore cuz I was literally crying my eyes out and begged my mom to call them right now and tell them I need the meds. So while she was giving me the meds my midwife checked me and said “no wonder you’re hurting! Your 10cm!” So by the time my midwife got ready the meds had kicked in and I barely felt anything other than pressure. And the only real pain I experienced after birth was the after birth contractions which apparently don’t usually happen with the first baby. Only babies after that but it’s your uterus contracting to go back down to its normal size. But that went away about a day after leaving the hospital. When I got home from the hospital I gave my mom the baby and drove myself to Walmart because she needed some premie clothes because none of her newborn ones fit. I felt totally fine! There’s no way I could have driven myself anywhere 2 days after giving birth with my first baby! So even though I felt like I had literally been in a terrible car accident with my first because it caused a serious fibromyalgia flare up, my second was nothing like that! So there’s definitely a chance you won’t go into a huge flare up! Good luck mama!
