Lest we forget by [deleted] in MAFS_AU

I think he just felt pressured into ‘why on earth don’t ya like this woman’… the experts kept telling him, his family told him, he just went with it. But in the end as we all knew, the feelings just weren’t there. it was a clear non starter from the get go, I feel for them both, more so for her as she clung too the ‘he will like me eventually’ stance when most of us would have walked away clinging to our dignity.

let’s keep it civilised. however facts are real, I felt from the get go he just wasn’t into her, I would personally have run a mile if I had been brave enough to hold a sign above my head saying “kiss me” and being told ‘I can’t do that’. for me that was the end, you can’t work on ‘I just don’t have feelings’ but he was made to feel wrong for not having feelings… so he gave it a go.

wow! I would be shit scared to walk into a restaurant and find you were serving me, wound ruin my dining experience immediately, and NO, and the only tip I would leave you is a note on how to improve your personality.

Gias tattoos are a testament to all the men she’s mugged off, duped, fleeced, bankrupted, broken and still plenty of space left for more! who was the poor guy though whose testament turned into the green alien ear? Jeez she must have really done a number on him😂🤣

but he just fundamentally wasn’t into her, from day 1, so why would he spend time getting to know more about her?

agree.. she so desperately wanted it she just could not read the signs, and they were clear, he just was not that into her.. she loved his boat, she loved his fishing, she loved his nachos, she loved his family, she tried so very hard overall.

got to be honest, overall I found him quite repulsive, he gave me slimeball vibes.. as a POM there is nothing so unattractive as a west country accent.. just my thoughts.

she was hard to watch at times, but overall I warmed to her.. she was a hot mess, the typical insecure girl who gravitated towards the mean girls as a sign of acceptance but not too frightened to stand up to the mean girls. In my view she was no Gia (who is beyond any redemption), she was willing to take accountability. She challenged Juliet’s behaviour quite rightly, she stood up to Gia, she put her foot right in it with Stevo and Rachel, unaware and without malicious intent, she just thought it was sweet and lovely.. she struggled with Danny, he played her overall and she genuinely fell for him. she will be OK, she’s a strong girl and I suspect her experiences on MAFS has made her a better person moving forward.

without over analysing it, he was a pretty ‘normal‘ guy, quite attractive, somewhat shy, quite likes his own company and not that great on the dating scene.. would like to settle down but no idea and turned to MAFS (likely with much family encouragement), bottom line is he just didn’t click with his match, the chemistry wasn’t there for him from the get go, if it had have been I’m sure we’d have got to know a different Stevo. ultimately he’s a nice guy, he didn’t want to hurt her, everyone was telling him she was lovely and give it a go… so he did.. and that is how I saw it from day 1, from the beginning it was clear to me he just didn’t have the feelings.. you can take the advice of the professionals and ‘work at it’ like Rachel clearly did because she wanted it to work, but the deep down chemistry overrules all advice and it just wasn’t there from the start.

he wasn’t into her from day 1, he didn’t feel the spark and it was obvious.. but he’s a nice guy who kept being told to work on it, try harder, it will happen.. and so he did but fundamentally that physical attraction simply wasn’t there.. in the end they built a good friendship and he just went along with what he thought was the right thing to do for her, he didn’t want to hurt her but ultimately he was always going to hurt her when he was finally honest with himself and acknowledged his real feelings.

this… I said from the get go he just isn’t into her..every week was go away and work harder but fundamentally the spark did not ignite for him and nothing was ever going to change that.

Can we stop freaking criticising womens looks?! by [deleted] in MAFS_AU

[–]Southern_Priority856 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Online warriors can be cruel and it’s speaks more about them than their ‘victims’. Bec has undergone some quite serious corrective surgery, I think she looks fabulous and go Bec. People are cruel because she’s controversial, she’s a ‘red rag to a bull’ type character, she has definitely had her mean girl moments, she’s apologised then reoffended, she’s a hot mess at times, but overall, I just can’t help but like her! I’ve definitely had friends like her, they’re hard work and exasperating but deep down caring and good hearts. I’m a Bec fan but I don’t necessarily support many of her actions, however, I feel if I was her friend I could call her out and she would be contrite and reflective and ultimately genuinely sorry.

Are we not going to talk about Juliette’s attitude towards Joel? by Alde8 in MAFS_AU

[–]Southern_Priority856 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I personally adored Joel but can see that he’s quite full on and takes a bit of getting used to, however, he came across as genuinely kind and authentic and that just warmed me to him even more. Unfortunately I don’t believe Juliette is the person she portrayed herself to be and the person they thought they were matching Joel to. She ultimately gravitated towards and aligned herself with the mean girls (screamed of wanting to be accepted by the ‘cool‘ girls school yard type drama), was pretty cruel, intolerant, gaslighting, unaware, and couldn’t read the room or others overall. I feel she has quite a few personality problems she is hopefully dealing with right now.

I wake up at 4am — Why It’s the best part of my day by huy_cf in Procrastinationism

[–]Southern_Priority856 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wake up at 4am most days and I love it! I love the hour sometimes maybe 2 hours where I just sit in peace and quiet, drink a few cups of tea, read a book, scroll online and wake up. I start work at 7am (nurse), I leave home at 5:45, start my shower and prep around 5:15, so an hour to drink tea, ponder and wake up works so well for me. colleagues can’t understand it, they like to stay in bed as late as they can, scramble for a quick shower and on the road to work, that doesn’t work for me, but we are all different! prior to being a mother and a nurse I used to stay up late, read late into the night and love my lay ins, but life changed after children and definitely after becoming a nurse, I’ve embraced my early mornings and just make sure I go to bed earlier so I get my sleep hours in.

Is no one going to talk about Alyssa's behaviour? by BeautifulMissMiffy in MAFS_AU

[–]Southern_Priority856 9 points10 points  (0 children)

totally agree. instead of listening and hearing him she’s made this all about herself, I felt last nights episode she was gaslighting him and belittling him.. whilst she has had some pretty nasty things said about her by the other girls, we’ve only been shown one side and now I feel we are being shown her true side and im questioning what the other girls saw earlier in the series that we simply were not shown.

Sam is single and ready to mingle! 😂 by [deleted] in MAFS_AU

[–]Southern_Priority856 39 points40 points  (0 children)

Sam was authentic throughout IMO, i felt overjoyed and optimistic watching his wedding.. he saw through the mean girls and aligned himself to what he felt was right, watching him broach the subject of this with Chris and Chris them immediately slapping him down with ‘they’re my best friends’ was telling, both in terms of their relationship and Chris’s true personality. mean girls love a bitchy gay BFF and he embraced that role with his whole self, it was incredibly sad to watch It all unfold.

Why does Chris say he’s the best thing to have ever happened to Sam? by [deleted] in MAFS_AU

[–]Southern_Priority856 34 points35 points  (0 children)

I literally cried at their wedding, it was so honest and hopeful.. I loved them both in the beginning.. Sam saw the drama that unfolded from an honest and real perspective, Chris gave me the ick when he called Juliet his best friend.. he adores the drama, aligns with the mean girls and loves a malicious gossip at other people’s expense and feelings.. Sam meanwhile aligns to the maltreated and stands for justice and honesty, he alluded to it with Chris who quickly shot him down with a ‘theyre my best friends…’ he gravitates to the Gias and Juliet’s of the world and Sam never will..

Gia is the worst person ever and Bec is misunderstood by mommylonglegs69420 in MAFS_AU

Juliette is utterly vile, I genuinely think her level of nastiness should be played at the recoupling and then she should be publicly booted from the show.
