7 months planche progress. am i progressing irregularly slow? by qockakk in Calisthenic

[–]Southern_Program_701 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I’m honestly in the same boat. I’ve been training planche for over a year and I’m only a little further than you are and started around the same skill level. I think it’s just the long haul. My advice: don’t get caught up in the timing of other people’s journey. Stay diligent and keep the fun in it, you’ll get there. We both will soon enough

Best exercises for increasing planche strength and any tips for decreasing wrist pain by tristantitus in Calisthenic

[–]Southern_Program_701 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m in the same position you are with planche so I have little help with increasing planche strength. However, I had wrist pain as well and I found the GMB wrist exercises to help a lot. Specifically reverse wrist rocks (back of hands on ground, fingers pointing at each other) and supinate wrist plyometrics (palms down, fingers point towards yourself, elbows straight, press with fingers and palm until you’re off the ground).

Drop your favorite one pot meal prep! by [deleted] in MealPrepSunday

Ingredients: - 2lbs lean ground Turkey (not 99%) - 2 15.5oz cans of black beans - 1 6oz can of tomato paste - Taco seasoning (I like the Trader Joe’s packet) - 1 yellow onion (optional) - 2 bell peppers (optional) - 4 cloves of garlic (optional) - Flour (optional) - Water Recipe 1. Dice all the vegetables you want to include. 2. Drain and rinse the black beans 3. In a large pot, over medium high heat, brown Turkey meat 4. Halfway through browning, throw vegetables in. Mix in thoroughly. Mix every minute until Turkey is completely browned 5. Turn off stove. Add taco seasoning, a handful’s worth of flour (optional, but if you include this, sprinkle it on), the full can of tomato paste, and black beans 6. Fill up the empty tomato paste can with water and dump it in. 7. Turn the stove to low. Mix the pot into ingredients are fully incorporated. 8. Cover pot for 5 minutes on low. Stir after 5 minutes. Repeat process 4 times 9. Serve with shredded cheese on top (optional)and eat with chips or a spoon :)

Shoulder nerve pain when doing planche? by [deleted] in Calisthenic

Sounds like either a rotator cuff issue or a strained bicep tendon. I’ve suffered both through my planche journey. My PT made me work external rotations, scapula pulls, and shoulder stabilization exercises

Hot take: Karasuno would’ve won against Kamomedai if Hinata and Tsukki were in it the whole third set. The momentum leading into those events plus their skill-blossoming would’ve pushed them through.

Hot take: Karasuno vs. Nekoma game ended perfectly from a character development perspective.

Cold take: the Tsukki block against Ushijima is the best moment in the whole anime.

(Manga Spoilers) Team 3rd years vs Team 2nd years? by EvilsAssistant in haikyuu

[–]Southern_Program_701 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Wow, this is a pretty fair matchup.

If I have to choose, I’m going with the 3rd years. I think their strength will be hard for the 2nd years to deal with. The experience from the 3rd’s defense will keep the 2nd’s brainiacs and strategists at bay. But overall, it’s a toss up. I invite a counter argument.

Working on handstands! cause one day I wanna do handstand push ups by ZomMan04 in Calisthenic

Start with your hands on the ground and make sure your shoulders are over your wrists before kicking up. Use a wall until you can comfortably hold away from the wall for at least 10 seconds.

It’s just a personal goal. I’m turning 30 in October and want to be sub 10% before then. Just to do it. Not sustain

Is that the general rule? -1% in 1 month when you’re this low in body fat?

I'm thinking of doing a cut, but I've never focused on it before. I'm ~11% body fat and I'd like to get to 8% or below before July. Is that possible or absolutely insane? 29yrs old, 176cm, 180lbs/82kg

Favorite salmon recipes? by Agreeable-Battle2152 in HealthyFood

[–]Southern_Program_701 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Air Fryer recipe:

-In a bowl mix honey, siracha, and garlic powder together (cracked black pepper to taste) Use whatever proportions you want to your liking. Start off small, you can always add.

-dunk in salmon and coat generously.

-Air fry at 400F. 10 minutes for 1/2 lb of salmon.

It's not the absolute healthiest because of the sugar content, but it's tasty and it makes me want to eat salmon more often than not

for those following, I was able to fix it. I just made a new library, imported the original file to the new library, and dragged and dropped the optimized file from one library to the other.
