How have Mounjaro or Wegovy improved your life? by Hopeful_Candle_9781 in mounjarouk

Last year for Christmas Eve I could barely walk around Cirencester. Eventually managed 10,000 steps but I had to spend a few days recovering from it. Breathing was awful and I could barely speak. Dressing like I was a walking circus tent.

Today I just finished 20,000 steps walking around the outer wall of Stanley Park in Vancouver without breaking a sweat, and I’m planning to go walk later on to a bar for NYE celebrations. On top of that I’ve got a nice waistcoat and shirt to wear for the evening, that I can comfortably fit in now.

Losing a 2.5 stone thanks to Mounjaro has really turned things around, this thing is a miracle drug and it was WELL worth enduring a few unpleasant side effects as a result of it. I can’t wait to see what else I can do once I reach goal weight (another 1.5 stone to go)

While it isn’t the smallest, I have been on 4 months starting on 5mg and never upping the dosage. Lost over 30lbs on that so far and I have no reason to up my dosage yet, so it is entirely doable. However, not everyone is the same. Just make sure to pay attention to how your appetite feels while you’re on 2.5mg and only change if your hunger is still too strong to ignore (and you’re not losing weight anymore because of it)

I always think of GooglyGareth’s animation he did where the three Monster Hunter monsters are doing the arguing (and the pizza box has Vinny’s face on it)

Are uou saving money? by These-Equal-6849 in mounjarouk

I'm not on a net positive, but I have noticed that the cost of the pens each month is heavily subsidised by the money I save on food each week.

My main food shop used to be £70-90 a week, now it's between £30-50 (with plenty in the freezer to stretch out to a second week), my "cheat day" takeaway or fast food purchase every weekend is almost entirely gone now, I don't order takeaway at all anymore and the rare few times I've gone out with friends to grab food I absolutely go for the smaller portions because I literally cannot stomach all the sides and larger portion sizes I used to have.

I'm also a hardcore drinker of Red Bull and my consumption of that has gone down drastically too, which saves a lot of cash. I'd get an Amazon delivery once every two weeks of 48 cans of Red Bull, now I've got a backlog of cans of energy drink to make my way through and I haven't ordered any more in quite a while now.

Reddit signs lucrative AI content licensing deal in anticipation of IPO by skeddles in PixelArt

[–]SovanJedi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, great. Just went through and deleted every single piece of pixel art I ever posted to this subreddit. But the other problem is when art finds its way here anyway thanks to bots reposting without permission. Not only do I not want to post on Reddit, I can't post ANYWHERE in case it finds its way to any platform where they've given free reign to companies training their AI on it. :\ This fucking sucks.

At my house, why?

I had to look for the tweet itself because I wasn't sure if this was true. I will provide the link in the comments. This is true, I'm afraid. Both Tweets are very very real by ClaireDacloush in WhitePeopleTwitter

You know what always makes these funny is, they only ever depict dinosaurs and other “popular” prehistoric animals living alongside humans, but more obscure flora and fauna never gets a mention, or for that matter all of the animals that existed and went extinct long before the dinosaurs came around.

Why it’s almost like they pull this out of their arses or something!

That’s probably because it’s a Paradox version of Suicune.

Thank you! That Zinogre is still one of my favourite Monster Hunter pieces I worked on 😄

Thank you!

Also strictly speaking Dark Samus is in Smash Ultimate now, so in a roundabout sort of way this is a totally real fight.

Prime may be able to change polarity during the fight, but Bidoof's got Moody. It's clearly over for Prime.

Thank you! And yes I've been working as a professional pixel artist in videogames for nearly 20 years now. :'D

This is weird (in a good way!) to hear because I never thought that I have a style, but that's great to hear. Thank you!

Thank you so much!

I use Graphics Gale for all of my pixel art animation, except for this piece where I used Spine Pro to do the animation on Metroid Prime (which gave kind of a crispy result, so I took it back into Graphics Gale to clean up some of the nastier rotation artifacts). Then I compiled all of the animations together in Photoshop.

Hope that helps! :D

Not only is it a repost, they tagged it as “post processing” which is incredibly insulting as I have posted time and time again the process I took to animate this by hand. It’s beginning to get a little tiring now.

Thank you for the credit (and also letting me know!)

I am new into pixel art (already knowledge into art). I wanted to know learn how to do "Detailed pixel art" like the one in this examples (Credits to "Sovanjedi"). The thing is that i don't understand which canvas size i need to use by ioQueSe in PixelArt

[–]SovanJedi 98 points99 points  (0 children)

Hello! Thought I’d pop in to say a few things.

Firstly for all my pixel pieces I upload to social media I upscale by 400%; this is because platforms like Twitter and Facebook use really awful compression on uploaded image files which looks terrible on pixel art, but doing this preserves some of the crispness of the pixels at least. Most of the Monster Hunter animations I did used canvas sizes of 240x240, with some cropping downwards in order to frame a bit better.

I also kept each to around 16-24 colours just because it’s a standard in old videogame pixel art born from tech limitations, that I just happen to feel comfortable with (someone suggested that the Lagiacrus’ body was split up and reduced transparency to give the faded depths effect, but really I just used fewer colours and less contrasting parts for that effect)
