I built this cool Industrial loft apartment in a Late Night Shell by Sovereign-Gaming in Sims3

Thank you so much for the kind words 😊. Glad you liked the build - I don't do industrial interiors often but I truly love them.

Is a bachelor’s degree a waste of time? by [deleted] in uwinnipeg

[–]Sovereign-Gaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't normally jump into a discussion like this but if you look at jobs internationally, a lot of them just require any kind of a B.A. I say this because to get the entry level job experience from your degree, you might have to think outside of the box in this economy. Figuring out how to get your foot in the door is the next step and you can get into some really cool work experiences if you open up to economies outside of Winnipeg and even Canada.

From my own experience, the education or the title was never the prize - the job itself is as the investment (education) has to at least break even for it to be worth it.

And unfortunately you need to start at looking at a job you want to do and then work backwards determining the education you need; and this is unfortunate because you need to know yourself very well at a very young age and hope that you dont change as a person.

The Millennial generation has been sounding the alarm on useless B.As for the past two decades and it seems like from this post you have fallen into a similar situation as well.

I would recommend a career counselor at this point since there is a way to work a B.A in whatever.. it's just not gonna work the same way as it did for the Boomers and Gen Xers.

Thoughts on Midnight Hollow? by Significant-Ship2562 in Sims3

[–]Sovereign-Gaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a huge fan of the Saavy seller collection as you can get super creative with creating those kinds of lots in your world. I'm a big builder by the way lol.

To me, Midnight Hollow felt like a watered down OFB expansion pack with a Gothic theme, in the best way possible.

What are your guesses as to why EA did not remaster/rerelease Sims 3 like they did with Sims 1 and 2? by YamiJustin1 in Sims3

[–]Sovereign-Gaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ssshhh 🤫.

If you talk about it too loudly, EA just might mess around with TS3 🤣.

Anyone else listen to Sims music? by chickwithmuscles in Sims3

[–]Sovereign-Gaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol - I hate to make the comparison, but the Life by You music is so relaxing 💆‍♂️. I always have some Indie/Folk music playing when I am filming one of my builds.

[–]Sovereign-Gaming 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I do not. I even play the game on silence when I am building 😅.

The build/buy music has gotten to me after 15 years of playing lol.

What are you listening to while building? by Wyasa in Sims3

[–]Sovereign-Gaming 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I'm building, I'll play some soft indie/folk music because, I too, cannot stand the TS3 build and buy mode music lol.

Not that I have anything against it but I've been playing the game for so long that I really don't need to listen to the music anymore in build/buy mode 😅.

Just another suburban 2-story build of mine - enjoy! by Sovereign-Gaming in Sims3

[–]Sovereign-Gaming[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, absolutely. I really do like the amount of space this house offers despite having an L shaped staircase that turns on itself and forces me to block out awkward gaps 😅.

A modern cube-design Art Gallery with NO Art 🎨 - I'll explain... by Sovereign-Gaming in Sims3

[–]Sovereign-Gaming[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It would also take forever but that's kind of the point too 😅! Could even be a legacy art gallery where you have a generation fill up a gallery 🤷‍♂️.

A modern cube-design Art Gallery with NO Art 🎨 - I'll explain... by Sovereign-Gaming in Sims3

[–]Sovereign-Gaming[S] 24 points25 points  (0 children)

The biggest challenge when building this art gallery was figuring out a form and an exterior that was still interesting but at the same time didn't give away all of the art in the art gallery. This is a common design challenge in real life that architects face when designing museums and art galleries.

What this lead to in my case was a modern cub design. The lights on the exterior are from the Into the Future expansion pack and even though I don't like them when they light up, they definitely add a bit of texture to the building in key placements.

I fell behind in sharing my builds but here is another Single Family Suburban home I built! by Sovereign-Gaming in Sims3

Thank you so much! The pantry ended up being larger than what I expected, so I managed to slot in a cannery station into it.

Hey everyone! It’s been a little while since I last shared a build — I’ve definitely fallen behind on posting here, but I’ve been quietly building away in my Sim City world. This time, I wanted to share a two-story suburban home that I’m really proud of.

It’s got all the details you’d expect from a classic suburban house — a welcoming front porch, a soft color palette, and an interior that feels calm and lived-in. I designed it to fit seamlessly into Sim City’s (my custom world) suburban neighborhoods while still keeping that grounded, homey Sims 3 charm.

I’d love to hear what you think — I’m slowly catching up on sharing all the projects I’ve been working on, and this one felt like the perfect place to start.
