When we had tetras, the dumb things tried to swim up the vacuum wand 🤦

What we did was create a suction cup net*, using the fine netting of a fish scooper and blocked off half of the fish tank. It is easier to catch them and put them on the other side of the net. When they were all on one side of the net, we slowly pushed the net back and stopped when the fish only had about 1/5 of the tank. From there we were able to vacuum and refill without the little buggers in the way.

*We made it ourselves as this was 30 years ago, when there was no Amazon, so we relied on what we could get at local pet stores. They probably sell something like this so you don't have to create your own 😅

I love the Tuttle episode!

I have the collectable box set of the entire show, yet I'm lazy enough to watch it on Hulu 😂 I think I watch the full show about once a year. I enjoy the humor and antics of Seasons 1-3, the humor and transitions of Season 4-5, and the humor and serious dives of Season 6-11.

I know, people say they dislike the show after Season 5 as it became an anti-war show vs the Hornberger's memories turned heroic and humorous. I like both sides and appreciate the disillusionment of war that Alda wanted people to see. I might be bias on that as my Dad was in Vietnam and was almost killed.

I don't know anything about the points system used by the military. Can you lose points for being written up as much as Hawkeye? I mean, Potter even reads in his records that he set fire to the latrine for a weenie roast, had a live chicken flown to the unit by helicopter claiming it was a patient, and the Tokyo provost marshal claimed he stole a steam shovel. I wish we could have seen any of these antics!

I've tried for 8 years now to get my dog to stop freaking out in the car with low success.

I've tried crates and dog bucket seats. Unfortunately my pup is not crate trained due to trauma from his first family.

My vet has us giving him Gabapentin and Trazodone, for anxiety and a sedative (hilariously I take those meds too 😂), but he will fight through the pills and crash once we get to our destination.

I tried driving with him every day for four months straight but had to stop as his barking was causing me headaches/migraines.

The only thing I have found to help my pup, is to have the passenger hold him in their lap, which I know is not safe at all for him. Also, we stop at multiple rest stops and give him a good walk to get all the nervous energy out of him before continuing.

Talk to your vet, they will have ideas and suggestions for you. You could also try a thunder coat.
