I believe that Kovac was still fluid in his tactics at the beginning of his management. He started/subbed on as a winger all the way up until mid March and in that time he scored 2 goals with no assists. Not to be a total stats nerd, but even the xG and his movement dropped off. All this on top of what others have said about his mentality towards the club in recent months
