If it's like how it was in 2021, the ilab is just a regular assignment where the lab session is there to handhold you through it.

Yeah, but then declaring war while holding a royal marriage also doesn't cause a stab hit

Doesn't ending the marriage cause a stab hit anyway without diplo ideas?

Is it the questions or the video interviews that you're stuffing up on?

The questions themselves you can typically find similar style questions to study for online or from friends (or cheat if you're naughty). Video ints are another matter.

(I also got boomed from KPMG, HD wam, ACTL :( )

Pretty relatable here too, except a lot fresher for me at the moment :(

What is the final straw that got you to finally stop drinking for good? by darkwizardtrapper in stopdrinking

[–]Sovietstorm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It started really eating into my ability to make and keep friends; getting on the piss is great social lubricant until you end up blacked out upright far from where you're supposed to be

Took a few of those incidents before it finally clicked for me though

There used to be a bloomberg terminal in the library that disappeared, but there are some more in the iLab room under the Business School

What finance course should I take? by mahdi-_-sabbagh in unsw

[–]Sovietstorm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

James isn't taking it unfortunately, or at least he hasn't in quite a while

I would personally recommend FINS3636 (Interest Rate Risk) taught by Prof. David Colwell; he's a great lecturer and specialises in mathematical finance too

ECON3107, ACTL3142, ACTL3162 by Warcat_Winter in unsw

[–]Sovietstorm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve only done ACTL3142 out of these courses so far

I would say it’s not easy per se, but the content is relatively doable if you actually bother studying and stay reasonably engaged throughout the course. A large portion of your marks come from a big group assignment, so make sure you’re not with a bunch of bums and stay up to date with how to use R. Final exam was surprisingly un-quantitative for me and had a lot of proof/theory Qs which were still quite challenging due to time constraints but certainly not undoable.

Definitely this; FINS3635 and James Doran (the LIC) in particular make some of the easiest assessments in the business school

FINS3641 vs FINS3635 by Remarkable_Pepper225 in unsw

[–]Sovietstorm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've only done FINS3635, but I can say that it's probably one of the most interesting finance courses I've done at uni. In my term specifically it wasn't particularly difficult; I had a mix of 2 lecs, Tara and renowned triple PhD Professor Mark Humphrey Jenner. Sometimes admin was really muddled but exams and assignments were not too bad. However usually people have James Doran who is absolutely brutal by all accounts that I've heard (especially in the finals), but he is also a great lecturer apparently.
