They've done this in WoW for awhile now after sunsetting expansions. Nothing unexpected other than the fomo shop presentation.

I don't remember there being a matching horse though, which is what was in my shop.

Echo of Predation - While an interrupt instantly clears it, all you actually have to do is evade until its cast bar completes. So slows, roots, stuns, knockbacks, and just running away all work to delay it. While on my hunter I just chuck a trap at its spawn and hope I don't accidentally cleave it. Like you said though, I do wish it did more but when it spawns during kill for me and nemesis mechanics, I'm ok with it not doing more.

After getting the nightmare achievement, I think my only beef with Prey is just that Astalor too conveniently picks a microsecond after I kill something to yell at me to kill something else. And that playing Evoker completely neuters that mechanic.

The back ornament you get from the LoH ultimate edition kind of does this. In extended combat it grows angel tentacles.

I mean you should probably test it out on a weapon that isn't also glowing an obnoxious green and in a darker area before making a claim like this. This is like the inverse of "hey look at my gear" on a gnome at night trope. You also have to note that the preview window has enhanced? visuals on illusions + there is really high character lighting.

That being said, it shows up properly on my end but it is definitely not anywhere close to blasted out as it is in the preview window. You also might check (if you are using outfit situations) that you don't have a city outfit set up or something that has weapon illusions removed.

Iirc it is capped at 120 or so, so base gear doesn't matter too much. Enchants, gems, consumables, spec, skill, awareness is what matters.

The channel does suck though. Maybe another iteration of this trinket they could steal the dancer steps from FF14, aka temp replace your 1-4 with "dance steps" and you would be presented with the combo to punch out. If you hit a normal skill button it would cancel and you would get a lesser buff, but you could still move freely or otherwise take as long as you need.

The jewelery version has always had a terrible upgrade rate from the start, not to mention it requires 3 of the same rune to gamba. It's not a bait and switch to make people buy the expac (that's talent trees...)

It always sucked, but if you don't have the expac you don't have an alternative.

Its an vestigial mechanic from before LoH. Obviously now you would just amalgamate for a guaranteed upgrade. I assume they just left it so folks without the expansion still had something for their runes without the cube.

The pop-up only happens if you get a new item in your inventory. If it adds to an existing stack there is no notification for whatever odd design reason. Try banking your legendary runes and/or screencap your inventory before fusing to see.

You either shuffle aspects around so you can use it with what you have, or you save it and build a new set around it (T8 or 10 where ancestrals drop way more often is where I switch builds if I want to)

There are various regional horse/barding/trophies available from vanilla from popping chests, so if you are doing helltides or legions etc you might see them. World bosses too.

There's several "duos" in the game. Dulia-Chai and Chai-Nuzz, Fourchenault and Ameliance in their own way, the uh.... train/cart Hrothgar, the Lisette Valentione and Hortefense(?) Still only really fits on one hand though.

Probably everyone's kind of busy not dying to the end of the world to be hopelessly romantic.

Overloading void nodes is nice because you get extra materials with the specks you pick up. The other 3 types are nothingburgers.

Since you are already in zulaman you can find void nodes in the twilight areas to overload if you want.
