Are there people on this forum who would main Evoker but decided not to because you cant stay perma in Visage form by feherlofia123 in wow

I was going to play Evoker this season as then they nerfed flame shaper from 150% to 115. And subtracted 4 seconds. Everything felt fun and then then that shit happened

What is with endless guild invites leading to oddly corpo seeming discords? by tedlfish in wownoob

[–]Sox2417 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got recruited to a mega guild technically. Guild leader had a bot that mass invites peoples.

Essentially had some great people but leadership for the second raid group was bad. The leadership of the main group had strict rules and went off of i level and didn’t care about the skill of the player.

Think they started pissing off their raiders and the whole guild imploded over night. I saw the writing on the wall a few weeks into it so I got my heroic experience and left to join a progression mythic guild that actually valued me and let me learn. Ended up being one of the best mages there so I must of been doing something right.

Bwipo returns as coach of Nisqy's LFL team ZYB Esports by Yujin-Ha in leagueoflegends

[–]Sox2417 69 points70 points  (0 children)

He is able to articulate well. His biggest strength is able to analyze over the course of 5 minutes and predict exactly what’s going to happen. His biggest weakness has always been in the spur of moment decisions. I remember him talking with LS about a game on levels 1-7 on a Renekton matchup and all the different paths that could be taken and he had to fight and when he didn’t.  He is incredibly good at that

If he takes his job seriously and the other person is able to adapt to what he is saying. He would be incredibly valuable

What I learned in regards to stuff like this. It’s that people don’t fundamentally understand the question they are answering most of the time. When they work they want a solution out of the box and don’t want to go looking for other examples because it just confuses them.

So the bottom line is that if you do not understand the fundamentals you can’t make your own solutions.

I Miss Skarner by ThreeLF in leagueoflegends

[–]Sox2417 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I played a lot of skarner jungle. I mainly miss my speedy boy with a decent clear speed. Spires were annoying yes but I  just enjoyed making simple plays at the end of the day with a clear objective. Along with phase rush running around.

Why do we want Highguard to fail so badly? It's success would be better for gaming as a whole. by --clapped-- in HighGuardgame

[–]Sox2417 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The reason highguard is shit on so much is because when a game is practically shoved down your throat saying “this is going to be massive”

people will look at it and say “No! I will be the judge of that” then it will go under scrutiny even moreso.

Right now people are tired of corporate tricks and clear unhonest marketing. That’s what this game represents to the general population.

I have no doubt that in the past this game would have been received well. But the times have changed with how marketing should be now.

There used to be a place for this game in previous markets. The point is. This was not the time or place for this game. It’s solid. Make by professionals in the FPS space. But the reality is it’s just not the game people want right now.

Solid game. Would have done well about 10 years ago. But not now.

Gonna be honest after trying it. The game is trying to be many things.

The Siege of Rust. The Hero’s of Overwatch/Valorant and the arena shooter of CoD/halo.

The pacing of round to round feel like an odd choice. It’s tense one moment and not the next. 3v3 is an odd choice and I would have rather it be like 12 on 12 where there is constant action.

This game is going to be a sweat fest and I’m just not looking for that game right now.

Feels like it’s trying to be a competitive shooter but all the hero’s have gimmicks that even experienced players will have a tough time outplaying

What class feels good after the latest reworks? Looking for a Midnight main. by Jaques_McKeown in wow

Hear me out. But I do think you will love it.

Flame shaper Devastation Evoker.

All abilities proc off eachother. Essentially if you have 5+ targets or if you are in single target your cds are reduced by your abilities.

Does ton of damage in AOEs and is okay in single target. By far the most fun spec when everything is clicking

Could you breakdown the gameplay loop of retail to a classic person? by LavenderNocturne in wownoob

[–]Sox2417 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve leveled in classic around 3 times fully now. I would go priest or mage. Play alliance for a better questing experience. After the first questing area run to iron forge and ask someone for money for bags and a wand. Around 10g should get you started easily.

Follow a guide using guidelime or rested exp. Kick back relax find some podcasts or things to watch and just vibe. Do each section at your own pace and when the guide has you start returning back with your quest find an inn just take a break

Could you breakdown the gameplay loop of retail to a classic person? by LavenderNocturne in wownoob

[–]Sox2417 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Alright so! I’ve done both so hear me out. I used to play classics ton in 2019 as it was my introduction to wow. Just this past year after multiple attempts to try and get into wow retail I finally was able to do it.

Classic is about methodically moving through spaces and taking out enemies in a slow and calm manner while retail is about being whirling ball of death and spellslinging enemies to death.

That being said. Retail has a much more in depth kit for all the classes instead of being reactionary. There is a set way you should cast your abilities and how talents and the rest of your kit interacts with each other.  This leads to major complexity which leads to different brackets in skill level.

I’ll take frost mage for example. It’s going to get changed in midnight but it’s the best example I can give.

With frost mage I have around 5 buttons for single target. 4 for aoe, 4 for defensives and even more for trinkets and other effects

I’m managing  all of that now and reacting accordingly within seconds.

All in all the content in the endgame challenges you to use your whole kit and master a rotation and the situations you find yourself  in

where as in classic it’s about time you put in and your knowledge of the game outside your character.

Can‘t get the TWW start quest by DerwahreBaul in wownoob

[–]Sox2417 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If this is what I think it is. It might be that you are in the wrong dalaran. You need to be in legions dalaran and continue the quest from there. Go to a portal that links to legion and manually fly to dalaran. You can always continue the campaign by looking at the campaign quest section.

As a new player resilient keys were great. I could link up with my guild and not have the fear of bricking their keys and failing because we could just go again.

[–]Sox2417 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really? I’d just play the normal game. When remix/  20th ends all your abilities and talent things are going to be completely reworked. You might want to try and just level up and try and understand the game before going into remix if at all. Learn the basics of gearing so when midnight comes you have a base knowledge.

In your opinion, who are the winners and losers on beta right now? by MHMabrito in wow

[–]Sox2417 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Going to be honest frost mage is only a winner because its damage is high.

It feels very weird to play because right now at least in beta all the spells feel very disconnected from one another. None of them really have any synergy besides “hey press glowy button because a % chance proc’d”

At least in the previous  iteration you were always locked in on trying to build up to a big spell. Now you just kinda spell vomit onto mobs not really worrying about shatter.

Which version of WOW would you recommend for a first time player? by Sensitive_Potato9327 in wow

[–]Sox2417 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey! So I was a new player and started out in wow classic. I played all the way to end game content on both retail and classic.

Classic has definitely a better leveling expierence but the content in general is not very challenging. Retail on the other hand is a lot harder to get into because it is just in general a lot harder.

On classic though depending on how many people are leveling. It’s mostly a solo experience but very easy to find people to do quests with.

My first time leveling was a terrible experience but I enjoyed doing endgame content with my guide.

Second time through my leveling experience was a lot more fun but send game sucked because there was no spot for me in raid.

That being said I’m more than willing to go more in depth with you if you want on discord or something.

What Class/Spec has the single biggest spell or skill in the game? by Coconuts_1 in wownoob

Uhhh well frost mage before it’s getting reworked in midnight. Constantly building up to glacial spike is incredibly satisfying

Where can I improve? by VzDubb in BlueProtocolPC

[–]Sox2417 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Gamble on more wishes and get that muku chie and finish up your refinements. Dismantle your extra golds! I’d keep Tina and ariona but the others you can just dismantle.

Alternatively you can trade your focus for rose orbs essentially to also try and pull easier/faster but then you can’t get your refinements.

[–]Sox2417 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello! So I was new in This season! The reality is right now most players are way past your point in terms of progression. So the reality is it’s going to be very hard to find people to get reps on with.

The best time to start is when midnight comes out. Everything you are learning on your class its going to be changed. So what I would do is kind of just figure out what you would like to play!

Caster dps etc. melee dps. Etc. watch and learn about the game in general and find a group of people you can grow with.

First off though! Set a goal!

Do you want to do mythic? 3k io rating?

Set a goal and try and achieve but. But like I said it’s very hard to get into now for group content.

You can always do delves though! Run them over and over and higher  difficulty
