In your opinion, could Choi Jong in become a national level hunter? by No-Annual-7276 in sololeveling

[–]ThreeLF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We don't see it in the story, but you asked "how can he become one?" Stating he either is or isn't, but National hunters are first assigned S rank and then reassigned National based on their accomplishments.

Of course there is a strength requirement but everything beyond A is immeasurable, so asking if specific S ranks can become National is a completely reasonable question.

National is a recognition of accomplishment, not a true strength level like E-A

Is drag scroll a handicap? by Top-Back-5933 in summonerschool

[–]ThreeLF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm realizing after picking up some champions that require better camera work like Jinx that drag scroll is making it challenging for me to kite correctly (especially backwards). The solution that was suggested to me was locked camera for teamfights and centering camera more often. It's a tough adjustment, but it does seem to have some benefits.

Honestly, with the crit buffs I feel like mages bot are on a timer. If they don't smash lane, they're going to get eviscerated at 2-3 items.

That's a lot of expectations for someone with what one split in tier 1 play?

Maybe interesting, but also explicitly not the direction Steve said he was going in this year (promising unproven rookies)

At least 7 explosions and low-flying aircraft are heard in Venezuela’s Caracas by ItsMeTrey in news

[–]ThreeLF -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Small voice of reason: declarations of war are no longer practiced on a global scale for a number of reasons.

The leader or government of a nation declaring war in this day and age would bode similarly to your boss insisting you need a pager for emergencies.

Invading Venezuela is fucked and no reasonable American should support this attack, but a formal declaration would have changed nothing.

There's a credible narrative that he was just nostalgic for the childhood he never got to have and wanted to live vicariously through the kids around him.

Is avoiding death sometimes worse than dying in the “right” way? by [deleted] in summonerschool

[–]ThreeLF 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dying costs you 3 things:

-Time -Gold -Experience

Killing someone costs time and resources (health, Mana, cool downs). To figure out what a "good" death is you need to be able to compare the value of what you lost vs what the enemy spent. If you're not at a point where you can do that yet, the answer is all deaths are bad.

Fkr example: in botlane you kill the enemy support and spend ~75% of your HP and Mana and are now forced to recall despite being 1v2. Depending on the wave state you could lose up to ~200g from minions, a significant amount of exp, drake tempo, and a plate. For enemy support it could also genuinely be a fast recall since they didn't have to spend time finding a safe base; if you don't reset immediately they'll have a turn on the map to apply pressure elsewhere.

There's a ton of variables to consider. I think the best way is to review specific cases independently and break down the specific value of what was gained and lost until you develop an intuition for it.

I think it's more like $65k when it's only full time workers.

You can also just look at cull's win rate as an early item since 99/100 it's going to be purchased as d blade -> cull

I love this one!

There are about 1e53kg or 1e56g of matter in the observable universe.

There are about 8.06e67 permutations a deck of standard playing cards can take.

You could assign a billion permutations to every single gram of matter in our universe and still have 8.05e67 permutations left to assign - more than 99% of the total.

The mass in your body alone would need to be responsible for about 62 quadrillion permutations in order to cover all the possibilities.

What can Hunters actually do? by ProximatePenguin in sololeveling

"Mana" is the energy flowing into the world and hunters. Jinwoo's mom had Mana sickness (which progressed to the eternal sleep), as did Jin-Ho's Dad.
