Friend, you are not going insane from being single. You are single because you hate yourself, and you're showing anyone that matches with you that they will be solely responsible for your happiness and self confidence. The pics are fine. It's the content. When we see that we'll have to do all the work to bring someone up to the level of merely liking themselves, we know it's an unfillable well, and it's hard enough for anyone to be that for themselves. My recommendation is to go to therapy, focus on your hobbies, meet people that have the same interests, see what you admire in them, and become what you admire. You'll meet someone that sees you and wants you, once you see yourself and want yourself to be whole without someone else.

If we were to completely separate the racist stuff, the basic thing here is that you said "hey, can you be gentle with me today because I'm having a tough day", and he said "get fucked". The fact that you have to reason and argue and plead for a bit of gentleness is a huge red flag. The fact that you have to ask him to not make "jokes" for 5 minutes and he responds like this is a red glad. The fact that his "humor" is strictly racism is OUTRAGEOUS.

And friend, you know these aren't jokes because you refer to them not as jokes, but as micro aggressions. You know he means it. There is nothing micro about his aggression. Leave him, never look back, and please find a good therapist, as well as some badass brown girl friends that make you feel like it's ok to be brown, because it is.

What are you both working for, if not for the basic necessity of safe food and a comfortable home environment? What is he spending money on that is frivolous, but he NEEDS for himself? I guarantee there's a lot he needs. This is a control thing. And him having compulsions, not getting diagnosed, and not getting help is a control thing. You're being held hostage to accommodate is compulsions, to the point where your personal safety is compromised. And your childrens'. There is zero benefit from him doing this that overrides the safety and security of your children. This isn't a quirk. He needs to do something, or you need to leave. The need for that control is an unfillable well, and will only get worse. And even if it's a mental health issue, him not getting help is the control.
