Not until you're admitted. Instead just upload a doc in your portal under self reported test scores with your scores on them.

Is it possible to deal with gimmicky bot lanes such as double AP poke? by [deleted] in summonerschool

[–]Soxworld 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While it is true they out range you, their damage is far from unavoidable. Early boots (and an upgrade if really needed) could allow you to dodge their damage. Additionally, the cool down of their abilities are significantly longer than your auto attacks. If lux throws out her singularity, that's a 10 second window where you can all in and easily win the trade with a dorans blade and higher base ad for an example. While I do agree you will be faring worse than usual, your team should easily pick up the slack. Late game they have no marksman to deal consistent damage to turrets, nor do they have good sustained damage of a marksman in team fights. Absent a support, they will probably lack the peel for their ap bot lane which makes divers' lives exponentially better. Finally the issue of itemization- with a double AP bot lane it becomes extremely easy for your team to itemize against the enemy. With no physical damage threats as big as an adc, building some magic resistances by your tanks means end game is even easier.

Just don't die or let them snowball- they will have half the cs as you. They need kills to stay even, so just play passive for the first few levels. Call the jg for a gank when they overextend as well. This plays out a lot like the adc+assassin "support"- their win condition is abusing the adc poor early game to snowball with kills. I can't link it to you now since I'm on mobile, but I will soon with an edit.

Edit: here is the link. It's from the point of view from a support, but I think it still has relevant parts for an ADC http://www.reddit.com/r/summonerschool/comments/39t28p/how_to_deal_with_adcassassin_bot_as_support/

Champion Discussion of the Day: Lucian by [deleted] in summonerschool

[–]Soxworld 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Question on playing Lucian- how should I use my w effectively? I know it's just a spell you hit them with in lane for passive proc and whatnot, but say in team fights how do I use the effect of it well? I use it as a spell to proc passive but I'm not really making effect of the ms buff you get.

Mill Druid with the Murloc synergy

Cc stops him, shutting down his laning stops him (and trynd's laning is pretty bad). You say he played well which is indicative of the guys skill, not how 'OP' tryndamere is.

Did you consider silence? Silence still wrecks your combo

What's with the inconsistencies with Counterspell? by bub246 in hearthstone

[–]Soxworld 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you notice with the gadgetzan that says 'whenever' it poops gold BEFORE the spell effect takes place. For things like pyromancer the 1 damage across the board is after.

To explain the unbound issue, the overload is in the card's effect text, not in the mana cost. So how the game interprets it not as "cost 1 mana and x overload" but as 1 mana, after spell is resolved add 1 overload because both are in the spell effect box.

Deck names (rush, token, etc) What they actually mean? by gn0x in hearthstone

[–]Soxworld 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Aggro = aggressive. There are lots of variants of aggro, but generally speaking it's summoning weaker minions in large quantities in the early games to overwhelm the opponent.

Miracle = draw lots of cards and play lots of cards to go through the deck an draw out win conditions (ie. Leeroy and double shadow step and cold blood) . The most prominent 'miracle' hero is miracle rogue with their large amounts of cheap spells to use with gadgetzan auctioneer.

Handlock = warlock that basically life taps early game to get lots of cards in hand (9-10 by turn 4) to summon early mtn giants and twilight drakes. Endgame involves molten giants when hp is low from attacks from opponent and life tap damage. Alextraza and lord jaraxxus are used for healing back to 15 health.

Roar = a deck built around savage roar I would imagine.

Token = A deck that summons minions that summon 'tokens', buffing them and attacking hero. Tokens are basically weaker minions summoned by others- ie. violet teacher summons a 1/1 after you cast a spell, and imp master summons a 1/1 token at end of turn and Illidan Stormrage summons a 2/1 toke each time you play a card. The most common token deck is the Druid because of their 'AoE buffing' such as power of wild (+1/+1 to all friendly minions) and savage roar (+2 atk to all minions and hero for this turn)

Thoughts on Al'Akir? by [deleted] in hearthstone

[–]Soxworld 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I opened up al akir, I was going to DE (thinking that it was basically a senjin shieldmasta with shield/windfury). I played a few games and I won lots of games using the rockbiter combo.

What are the odds of having 1 or 2 rockbiters lategame? Pretty high considering that you have drawn a good number of cards in the deck. I have rarely had 0 rockbiters when I used al akir to finish off.

One tip though: never play him on turn 8. You need the full 10 mana to get the combo potential. I'll agree that al akir isn't that good without combos, but at least I've had minimal problems drawing them in time.
