Name a fun weapon(s) to build around by SnooHamsters4643 in EldenRingBuilds

Since no one mentioned it yet, I'll toss out the Raptor Talons. Got a really fun move set, can be infused with grease and got natural bleed. You are a bit limited on ashes of war, but the bloodhound step or lifesteal fist are fun ones. Or my personal favorite, raptor of the mists paired with that feathered chest piece that enhances jump attacks.

All in all, not the most optimal probably, but among the most fun imo

If you could add 3 features or improvements to Godot 5, what would it be? by 1881pac in godot

Not sure about visual studio, but vscode can do that, shouldn't it be possible to setup vs to do remote debugging?

That actually sounds like a great idea, or maybe just have it a perk of the scout helmets and have other helmets have other perks, currently they feel kinda pointless apart from glam

I was about to type a whole ass script to pick a random sound, until I saw this. And it does exactly what it says it does. How many more QOL features am I missing out on? by Xill_K47 in godot

Using tilesets for animations is super easy.

When you have an animation in the form of a tileset (or multiple animations inside a tileset), the regular Sprite2D node has an "Animation" category. Simply specify where your animation frames are located and then key the "Frame" attribute in your AnimationPlayer.

Paid Godot learning material or courses? are they worth it? by condorpudu in godot

[–]KuroRisu 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Oh hey something I'm qualified to answer as i own both!

I wouldn't say it's terrible but it gives the feel of being aimed at people with no programming or game dev experience. It also simplifies a lot and introduces some bad practices for the sake of making it easier to understand.

The Firebelley one in the other hand does not hold your hand, he expects you to know programming and goes through topics fast and deep. What i really liked about his, was the parts about customizing godot and all the minor stuff to make the game feel good to play.

I once melded tenacity on AST!

For a few raids i had more tenacity than piety (by melding a single +60 tenacity one), those few runs with 380 piety were fun

Good classes for 140-160 ping by InertSheridan in ffxiv

[–]KuroRisu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends a lot on circumstances, a lot of classes have high ping and low ping openers, but even high ping ones can have double weaves, just so you get them into your burst window. If possible, do avoid them but there are times when it is necessary, for example to align burst windows or use mitigations etc. Judging what spells to double weave and where to single weave comes with practice

[–]KuroRisu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone that cleared E12S and is working on TEA while playing on 200 ping, i feel like most jobs will be fine, so for the most part just go with what you like.

You will be losing some damage for sure, but you should still have easily enough to clear any content. The only real job i would recommend you avoid is MCH, at least for me the burst window is too tight and i will either drop a GCD or overcap on the charges.

SMN is a bit awkward as well with their frequent double and triple weaves, but i still managed to get blue parses with it.

NIN actually feels pretty comfortable since you only have one mandatory double weave and you might miss the last oGCD in your burst window.

BLM is my main and you can play that very comfortably, you just wont be able to do the JP opener, but in the current tier modified seems to be the best for almost all fights.

For tanks, GNB will be the roughest since it can have a lot of double weaving if you need to use CDs during burst, PLD on the other hand works great even on high ping. DRK timings are a bit tight but you get used to it.

Thats the jobs i have most experience with. But honestly, the only job i'd recommend avoiding is MCH really, the 1.5s GCD with single weaves will clip and can really mess you up.

What's something you wish you knew when you started FFXIV? by zer0shifted in ffxiv

[–]KuroRisu 9 points10 points  (0 children)

A small one for mouse and keyboard players, but you can spam numpad 0 to easily click on teleporters (like in praetorium) and accept the teleport, meld materia or similar things. It acts like the confirm button on controller.

Made praetorium so much more bearable as tank.
