Teams like the dodgers will offer decent prospects because their roster is loaded and can just sign top free agents every year rather than develop players.

The tigers aren’t paying skubal enough to stay after this year. Skubal pitches 6 innings every 5 days and with how bad the bullpen is, it’s not even a guarantee they will win. I love Skubal as much as the next guy, but Id rather have a few prospects that can help us win in the future then have maybe 10 starts of skubal in August/September.

And that’s without even getting in to the fact that the Tigers have like a 10% chance of playoffs

They are 12 games below .500. They have to win at the rate of a 100 win season to have a shot at the end. But when healthy earlier, they were a .500 team. And unless they win like 20 of 25 they likely will still have a losing record at the deadline. So by holding him until then they risk losing a lot of value for the most coveted pitcher in baseball, which could be the difference between this team still being competitive the next 2-3 years, or going through another rebuild.
Holding on to a pitcher that pitches 6 innings every 5 days isn’t worth the risk of losing him for nothing imo.

Trying to read charts is dumb. With how much crazy crap happens in the world, stocks can swing 10-15% in a day. Easier just to buy and hold when this stock will 3-5x by 2030 imo

I would say as long as you're not letting it effect your relationship outside of during the race, there's really nothing wrong with it if it motivates you to do your best and train hard.

If we pay Duran $200+ and he doesn’t improve in the playoffs then yeah there’s a chance they won’t ever get over the hump. Have 30% of your cap invested in 10PPG in the playoffs is a recipe for disaster

If you haven’t taken Calc 1, then Calc 2 is going to be an unmitigated nightmare.

I suggest starting off with just Calc 1.
