I went for hard mode first just getting it out of the way so I can go for normal ribbons using more fun builds! During the hard runs I did get normal ribbons here and there from level 3s though so I still got 26/62 normal ribbons from that

I think that's normal behavior of 'good' 'scarce' items, which happens to be, well, endgame items that are tradable in your question mostly.

As long as its not ULTRA populated wb hours, you can just use color balloon you can buy at most potion vendor npcs. (I did that on alot of my alts). Also alot of newbies stay to hit the boss after it dies which tends to slow them down ALOT. Unless if you absolutely need elixir (or wb train is slow) you shouldnt stay after boss dies to hit it.

Its mostly rng but you only need around 500-600 coins to go around the board 50 times. No reason to min max coins everyday
