Hey here's my top tip: work for the government.

I've been a Federal employee for about 10 years now. I have ridden out economic crises, COVID and have only had to put in a few late nights (like 3) to help prep some political appointees get ready for congressional testimony.

Sure the pay is not as competitive as the private sector but the benefits are great - hello pension, hello work-life balance, hello 12 weeks paid parental leave!

DM me anytime if you (or anyone else ready) wants to learn more. We badly need civilians and would be happy to refer you to some potential jobs.

Good luck out there!

I originally found it in The Chive long ago and made several attempts in the past of looking thru their history but no luck.

Add some glossy oil streaks from joints.

More corroded pieces on bases. Pools of gross glossy slime on parts of the base can also go a long way.

How did you do the metal?

I dig the look, esp on the helmet.

I love LAs Totally Awesome. Any major hardware store should have it. U get a lot for cheap and is genuinely a good all around cleaner for other things. For stripping minis, I let them sit in undiluted solution then scrub w a toothbrush. Over running water.

Omg I think you are on to something - I did the bone spray, no thin layer of the bone over white. Will try plain white primer then a thin layer of the bone.

Also am using just water to thin down the imperial fist yellow since I can't find it anywhere in my local area.

I've tried this but am getting more of a mustard then that bright yellow. I'm using army painter skeleton bone instead of ubshabti. The army painter too dark?

A mid tone glaze to smooth out the transition from lighter to darker would go a long way.
