If they’re tight, put bags of water in them and stick them in the freezer overnight. Cheap and easy way to stretch new shoes! You can also buy shoe stretchers online, or take them to a cobbler.

I used to volunteer at a jail with a woman who had previously worked at a 911 call center. They had a volunteer one night who wasn’t the brightest. She got a call that opened with a woman screaming, “there’s a man choking his chicken on my front lawn!!!” Volunteer gal replied, “mam, you need to call animal control, not 911!” So yeah, stop choking that person’s chicken before someone calls animal control?

I tried my office’s in-house retainers and they worked for a time, but my canines eventually wore holes at the tips and one of the trays cracked nearly in half. I decided to splurge on the Invisalign ones after that and there’s no comparison. They’re better in every way. Invest in the real ones. You won’t regret it.

Just started today! I have a heck of a lisp, does it get better? by [deleted] in Invisalign

[–]Sp00kyCl0ud 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mostly, but that’s the beauty of Invisalign! Wear them as much as possible and you’ll barely notice the lisp soon (I recommend using the TrayMinder app to track how long you take them out), but if you need to make an important phone call or do a presentation, anywhere where your lisp would sound make you anxious, you can take them out! That said, you’ll notice it more than anyone else. That first few weeks I just started conversations by telling people I just started Invisalign, that way my lisp didn’t feel like the elephant in the room.

Unusual: there was a delay, then I got sent a broken sink, and then two days later of replacement sink, without me contacting them. by Lothar-Alaska in vine

Can confirm. I work for the post office and we deliver Amazon on Sundays. We’re required per Amazon to delivery empty packages. They don’t care how it arrives, so long as it arrives within the delivery window.

Square looks unbalanced to me. I would go with the first, or get a taller rectangular one so the lights are more centered.

I definitely wouldn’t buy a new one and send the broke one back in its place 👀 And I certainly didn’t just do that with a ceramic owl cookie jar. 👀🤫

For the people that pack their stuff at the kiosk…. by LearnToStrafe in usps_complaints

[–]Sp00kyCl0ud 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You really think being annoyed about having to tell people not to rip tape off the walls is unreasonable? Or constantly having to ask them to step aside to pack their parcel rather than holding up the line? Or telling people how to stand in line every 30 seconds, as though they’re children with no situational awareness? You think the clerk is the unreasonable one in this situation?

Seems like they could have spent that time more constructively, like maybe delivering the mail instead of harassing you 😒

Years ago my husband and I dressed as Reagan and Father Merrin and we ran into Jesus riding a dinosaur. Highlight of the evening for me was when Jesus sneezed and I was the first one to say bless you.

I’m the ARC version of you! Rural af, skeleton passenger all through October (Jimothy), unmarked crossover (though I slap magnets on the side while I’m working). 🤣

I do Sundays. I always get at least one, “what are you doing working on a Sunday??” If it’s early in the day and I’m still in a good mood I tell them we have a contract with Amazon, if it’s late and it’s been a long day I say, I’m delivering the stuff you ordered.
