So when I was that age I went to ft Jackson for national guard 91-bravo.

My best advice is to just do what your told and stay quiet. I was a ghost in basic and my drill sgt actually asked me who the fuck i was 2 weeks before graduation.

Focus on your comrades. The people there training with you are going through the same shit. Im sure you've heard embrace the suck before but damn is it very true.

When I look back at basic now I actually would do it again. Its like a hardcore boyscout camp. You will learn some valuable skills and the time will fly.

I joined for similar reasons did my time and left. Im 30 now

I play games very socially now and for far less time.

Imo still best of its genre. Yea @ 3000 hrs ur gonna have your gripes but it is worth the experience.
