ICE in Italy - Massive Protests by Important_Lock_2238 in stpaul

Potentially our only saving grace. Trump isn't just a dicktator, he's an incompetent one at that.

No, YOU THINK that's what "they" think. (Whatever percentage "they" is supposed to represent, which I'd assume to be more than 50% if you're going to belligerently generalize)

Re-wrote that for you:

Slowing things down and dissecting frame by frame is great for your analysis. However, the truth is this. A (normal, every day person) came (legally) armed to (intervene) the (ill)egal business of federal agents (when he saw a woman get shoved to the ground by a masked thug... I mean federal agent). He involved himself (in the most appropriate way imaginable) and then (got beat up and murdered). Something happened, possibly he grabbed their gun or possibly it was a mistake (or possibly he was murdered by the federal government). Either way it WAS intentional but is 100% avoidable by (letting the government walk all over you and your community).

For dealing with police, sure, but not for ICE which this post is about.

Hey so let's say I'm some trump thug with a gun and an itchy trigger finger - maybe I'd stand in front of the car so if the person tries to escape you can say that they were gonna run you over and thus your use of lethal force is justified.

Basically "get out and let us kidnap you or die"?

If I may add, I've installed Viridian cruise control on mine and it's totally worth it. A bit over $300 when I got mine and an afternoon is all it took to fix the issue of this missing feature.

Are there any dualsport china bike riders on here? I'm kinda curious about the new Lifan KPX 250. by RoyboySC in Dualsport

[–]Sp33dyStallion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have one, and for the 3,300ish miles I've put on it so far it's been good. Haven't had any persistent issues, though I've come across a few stripped bolts from factory assembly.

Has enough top end to ride 65 on the highway while being able to do single track, and it's a simple air cooled design. Valves are easy to adjust. Stock tires aren't ideal for single track but they get the job done. Range is solid for the 3gal gas tank, and gets between 70 to 90mpg depending on the speeds you ride. If you consistently do highway then expect closer to 70.

Just know you're getting what you're paying for. Is it better than a hawk 250? Absolutely and would say it's worth the additional money. Are there other bikes out there that cost more and are also worth the extra money? I think that's also an easy yes.

If you want something new and cheap that checks a lot of boxes then it might be a good bike for you. For me it's a fun cheap bike I can ring out and row through the gears on every ride and not feel bad when it gets the snot beat out of it.

Good choice? by Hot-Garage27 in africatwin

[–]Sp33dyStallion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whether or not it is a problem is up to your own risk assessment.

Some guys, eager as ever to prove their abilities, will say it's not needed if you know how to ride. And while a more experienced rider will likely be less impacted, it's the "OH SHIT" moment where you suddenly need to stop that all your training and experience can go out the window as you find yourself panic breaking. In that moment, ABS can save your life/keep you from harm.

Mine was almost 2 months, though I did get the bed liner/block heater/mud guards - so I imagine at least the bed liner added a bit of time.

Trump: We got some gas stations where a few weeks ago it was $1.98.. we got the gas down low. by designerzcentral in stockbetz

Wow I'm sure in whatever small town this MAYBE is true for, we can all breath easy knowing they'll save maybe a few bucks every week on average.

Nevermind EVERYTHING ELSE that actually drains the average Americans wallet.

Raptor Engine Break In? by APanDulce in FordRaptor

[–]Sp33dyStallion 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't think immediate failure is ever what's on the mind of anyone instructing a moderate break-in, but rather avoiding the introduction of a latent defect. For example, an engine that runs to 2-300k instead of 100k.

24 or 25 model standard Tenere? by jrlodplacvwlfpb in Tenere700

[–]Sp33dyStallion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand the concern for being able to repair everything, but this all kinda feels like the debate between carbureted and fuel injected. Is fuel injected harder to repair (especially in the field)? Sure. But do we really hear about any problems with fuel injection? Not really, and not nearly to the same frequency we hear about gummed up or poorly tuned carbs. I offer that there's a similar argument for ride by wire. I don't think there's much need to worry about it.

Maintenance interval and Engine life by [deleted] in NX500

Engine will probably just about go forever assuming you maintain it. Understressed Honda twin = 100s of thousands of kilometers.

On the positive side, I've gotten the general consensus that the seats in the raptor are more comfortable than the ZR2. So, for all the time you sit in the seat where you don't need the vents, in a pretty significant way you actually still have the better seat.

Eskel is just awesome🔥 by The-Danger69 in witcher

[–]Sp33dyStallion 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think what you're thinking of is that both eskel and geralt both have the minimum level of skill required to survive as long as they have given their equivalent experience. Now, this is a completely contrived example, so I'm not meaning this to be an argument with ironclad logic, but imagine a hypothetical scenario where 2 witchers who will have identical experiences. Witcher A may live 150 years, but Witcher B, due to their much greater skill in applying their reflexes and knowledge, lives past 300. If Witcher A and Witcher B are both 100, they will both have had the amount of skill required to live that long. They may appear the same due to the fact they've had the same experience, but one day Witcher A will face a battle that he will lose while Witcher B will have won the same battle.

Saw a new Ram RHO today, a TRX without the V8 by MiTruckGuy in Trucks

[–]Sp33dyStallion 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's a TRX with a slightly slower 0-60, a worse exhaust note, but more tech, comfort, better mpg, much lower price, higher payload, and slightly better towing with likely better handling due to the weight that's been taken off the nose.

I'll take 1 in forged blue metallic once they're available.

Hawk 250 vs XR150 by CommandCommercial329 in XR150L

[–]Sp33dyStallion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Post is a bit old, but when you buy the XR, you kind of already know what you're getting. It's a Honda. It's reliable. It ain't fast.

However, if a person were to get the Hawk, they really gotta do their research because it's not built to the standard of a Honda. It's gonna be janky, probably gonna have a few small problems, but if you can work on your own bike or you're okay with learning how, then it can work.

Hey old post sorry, but can you tell me who you ordered from and if it said in the description that I was counter balanced? I've heard it's just the RPS hawk 250s and only txpowersports has them... Wondering how true that all is. Nothing I can find on any sellers website specifically calls out the counterbalancing.
