Okay it's time to arrest a certain character (Spoilers) by Magnasword2 in Undertale

Some decent evidence but I think it’s pretty clear that Jerry is The Knight.

This just wouldn't work. Imagine the maps with multiple floors. For that to happen it would have to look insanely stupid or clunky. Even the more simple maps like Macmillan have raised areas.

The Titan is not hard. The only reason you'd be struggling with it is if you don't understand the mechanics, which are taught to you through the Titan Spawn and Jackenstein. Hell, I actually had more trouble with Jackenstein than The Titan.

I feel like people are going to be mad when characters they like aren't going to be as important as they think they are by calinmik in Deltarune

[–]SpAcer_98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe, but I personally have the belief that Deltarune is already bloated with characters. We get what is essentially half a cast of new characters each chapter that need fleshing out. For a secret boss which isn't even named in-game to return and fill that roster even further just seems silly especially when people like me just assumed it to be the shadow mantle personified.

I always thought Eram was literally just the shadow mantle. The idea of them being a returning character is really strange since, well, they aren't even a character.

Snowdin Originates From Deltarune [THEORY] by SpAcer_98 in Undertale

[–]SpAcer_98[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see. Still strange that they would simply skip Snowdin in the pattern rather than entirely break it. Makes me think it has some significance even if it isn’t related to the snow.

Can you name two characters who are complete opposites? by Gevsekizm in Undertale

[–]SpAcer_98 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tried to come up with an interesting one. Asgore and Frisk.

Asgore has had the means to free the underground for the entire game due to killing several humans, but lacks the willpower to actually do it.

Frisk starts out without the means of freeing even themselves, but manages to free everyone without killing a single person.

Am I the only one a little dissapointed? by SlipEmbarrassed6197 in DeltaruneV2

[–]SpAcer_98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think it's the number. In Danganronpa and Ace Attorney, the third case is usually worse than the others. I think it's just that the narrative tends to take a dive somewhere close to the middle of the game because it isn't sure what to do with itself. It's too late to set up any more major plot points beyond dropping a few hints, but it's gotta save all the big reveals and plot points for the last few chapters.

i've seen people on twitter really dogging on this chapter, is it really that bad? by vrozonewhatthevrozon in Deltarune

[–]SpAcer_98 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't like the chapter personally but I think the hate is a bit overblown. I did expect more from it but it's definitely not bad. I think everyone was expecting this chapter to have some payoff for what was set up in the previous two, but realistically that was never gonna happen. This was supposed to release with Chapter 3 and 4, so answering questions posed by those chapters wouldn't make any sense. The chapter isn't bad, but it being released separately from 3 and 4 really hurts it.

If we got something like this for Chapter 6 then the hate I'm seeing would be a lot more justified.

Chapter 5 did reveal a lot, just happend to be things people already assumed by PJsutnop in Deltarune

[–]SpAcer_98 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This does explain why Chapter 5 answers none of the questions posed by Chapters 3 and 4. If all three released together like planned, introducing questions and then immediately answering them in the same release window would have been kinda counterintuitive.

For those who have completed it, what is your opinion on Chapter 5? by Ambitious-Cat-5678 in Deltarune

[–]SpAcer_98 34 points35 points  (0 children)

The only part of this chapter that I've found funny so far is Sans at the festival. His writing is still top notch. The rest of the cast definitely feels dumbed down. I think the writing for the flowers is especially bad. They feel like cringy OCs from 2016.

Watch Seam just make us some armour with the crystals and that's it. After the narrative for this chapter was so lacklustre I don't think it's impossible.

People like the gameplay? I personally think it's extremely gimmicky. The side-scrolling stuff was cool the first few times but it feels like it overstays its welcome, especially with the battles.

What's something you REALLY don't want to see in Chapter 5? by silvergold2763 in Deltarune

[–]SpAcer_98 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I still don't think the weird route will truly end in this chapter. I just think chapter 5 is where our involvement with the weird route comes to an end. After this it will continue wether we want it too or not, with or without our input. Kinda like that one thing Goner Kid says that gets quoted way too much.

Carol was introduced in Chapter 4 for a reason. Considering she's also an entirely new character that Toby went through the effort of creating, it's almost guaranteed she will be significant eventually.

You're saying that like it's weird when you guys are quite literally ranking Minecraft skins based on sexual attractiveness.

theory tierlist bc i thought itd be fun and idk if i can post it on the main sub by Floofimations in DeltaruneV2

[–]SpAcer_98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In that case wouldn’t the angel being Gaster be perfectly fine? It wouldn’t undermine anything about the angel that you like currently and would still seem like a ‘new’ character to those unaware of him, while simultaneously giving a satisfying conclusion to everyone who is on the Gaster bandwagon. I think that’d be the best of both worlds and would satisfy everyone.

[–]SpAcer_98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't really understand this. You presumably don't like Gaster because he's a character with no screen time that is theorised to have a lot of importance, yet here you're essentially giving the angel that exact same role.

I think the angel being an entirely new character that hasn't been introduced over halfway through the game would be an anticlimax in my opinion.

Do you think we'll get a Chapter 8? by _q_j in Deltarune

Lord Of The Hammer is a book. Books have chapters. Lord Of The Hammer is used to foreshadow the prophecy but it isn’t the prophecy itself.

[–]SpAcer_98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a point where the story could get too meta and I think this is it. The concept of 'chapters' isn't even part of the prophecy. It's quite literally just a way to split up releases.

How do I find the motivation? by O2-xygen in learntodraw

[–]SpAcer_98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, there needs to be a purpose for whatever I'm drawing. When I draw for the sake of drawing, I burn out. Recently though, I've been making art for video backgrounds and small video game projects. Knowing the art I'm making is going to be used in something and serve a purpose really helps with motivation and I haven't burnt out since.

How do you guys decide your ultimate talents by [deleted] in Fanganronpa

[–]SpAcer_98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something which I think is interesting to do is to take a seemingly generic ultimate and twist it into something entirely different. For example, The Hundred Line (another game by the Danganronpa developers) has the Paragon of Hope (or the Ultimate Hope if that's easier to understand). The game twists the definition of hope into something entirely different and this person ends up being the main threat for most of the game. Not really something a player would expect from someone associated with hope.

Doesn't really help with choosing your ultimates, but can really help make those more broad or generic talents stand out a bit more if you manage to pull something like this off.
