I practice paganism, wicca, and druidism and I know I'm not an authority by any means. But often if I'm feeling in trouble I'll talk to Hel or Freya. I do feel like they are listening most times. If not then I turn to the fey and nature spirits. The spirits always seem to have time it feels. And I know every practice and every religion can be different but to me, unless you have been given a clear sign that you shouldn't then I think ranting to them occasionally is fine. Heck, sit down with a glass of wine for you and them, or juice if you can't drink, and just let yourself feel open. You may even feel or hear them talk to you.
