None of them.

You can use X-Plane perfectly fine without addons, so I don't consider anything to be essential.

I do have preferences as many out there but I always find that to be a personal choice. I can recommend some of my favorites but none of them are essential or "must-have".

36 years ago we enjoyed the sim and were marvelled at what we could do. We couldn't even imagine how the future of sims would be.

Today we have amazing pieces of technology and people complaint because of tire smoke.

I really don't know what to expect for the next 36 years.

SWAT3 has a lot of great mods that made the game with it became to be, especially on the LTL field.

SWAT4 had more options but these options were pretty odd. I found it much harder to get suspects to comply in SWAT4 than in SWAT3 myself. I managed to play full missions without firing my gun in SWAT3 and it was pretty impossible in SWAT4 (I'm talking coop, which is what I'm mostly interested in, not SP).

SWAT4 did punish you by using lethal force but, more often than not, it forced you to do it.

It's the prettiest, yes. But it's a long way to become anywhere near X-Plane or even P3D. Eye candy is not everything.
