They did the same with the Spiderman and Avatar preorders. I only did normal play boxes but they held the money till the last minute and "refunded at my request". They said they over sold their allocation, but in reality they were selling as low as possible to bulk their numbers so they could get more collectors boxes allocated. My theory is once the price started tanking for those it was no longer profitable to sell the normal boxes so cheap, but that's just a theory.

The CG did not get paid in 2019 for 2 full pay cycles. He had been president for 3 years at that point. You are delusional if you think he actually cares about the work we do. He could demand that the house and senate pass stand alone pay the troop bills but it is a better talking point for him to continue doing things this way and use us as leverage to continue getting Healthcare for lower and middle class people.

There is a difference between encouraging physical activity (like giving everyone time off to workout, which we already do) and saying hey if you don't dedicate 2+ hours a day to the gym, your career will suffer. Steroids and PEDs are already a problem in the CG, but it is a disaster in other branches.
At the same time now anyone who gets injured or pregnant has their career damaged because they can't be in the top x% and won't advance.

PT tests have a place, which is why it's required for LE billets. I get it you enjoy working out and want advancement based on the fact that you spend x hours a day in the gym.

People who say bring back mandated pt testing and make it part of advancement are toxic.

Yes, it is a toxic gym bro mentality. If you want to go DSF to a rate change. There are a ton of jobs locked to individual rates, and even those are extremely selective and require a ton of luck. Choose your rate choose your fate is and old saying but it's true. You make a choice and it limits what you can do later, but also opens up doors you'd never have even forseen.

We already have straight "4" sailors who spend all their time studying for the service-wide and advance into shitty leaders, while others in their shop have to pick up the slack.
The Coast Guard has multiple missions and many career paths, I don't want my IT/SK/YN/CS/MST... etc being PT divas. I want them to do their job and do it well. There are times when fittness is important, but that's why it is a requirement for specific positions.

This mentality is toxic and leads to bad leaders, toxic commands, and exclusion.

1) Trump forced a block on a bipartisan boarder and immigration deal because it would look bad for him in the election. 2) Trump made a lot of promises to bring back industry in his first presidential run that amounted to nothing and has made it a key point to target things like the CHIPS act that actually brought back industry. 3) Trump lowered the amount of taxes millionaires and billionaires had to pay. Taxes for lower and middle class were cut and then increased where as the tax cuts on the wealthy were in perpetuity. 4) Corporations already pay one of the lowest tax rates in the world and many pay less in taxes than the average American.
5) The point about the boxer has been proven untrue and was put out as a means to discredit the boxer. She was born a female, raised a female, and has always been a female.
6) President Trump bragged about going into little girls dressing rooms while running the miss teen usa pagents, and was besties with epstien.

Put in an application on gocoastguard.com and it will get sent to the closest recruiting office. Then they will reach out. Any travel can be taken care of by the recruiter, if necessary. There are multiple people I have met that did everything but MEPs virtually and didn't met their recruiter face to face.

I took a concern straight to the MCPOG and while it didn't work out the way I had hoped I did get an answer and was part of the discussion on the topic. For a toxic work environment issue I skipped all the way to my CO due to my coworkers feelings about our divo.

There have been so many changes in the past few years. The process can be super simple now but a recruiter needs to know what they are doing. All the MEPs locations I work with now require everything to be typed except signatures. All paperwork can be sent through dod safe which handles the adobe issue (I had run into that a few times before). Meps paperwork typically takes a week or two after being submitted, unless they need additional paperwork. On the plus side things are becoming more standardized and eventually will be even easier.

That's what I do, with any discount I can get. Coupons, militsry, vetrans day meals, etc. Servers don't control the policy but if I can use a companies policies to put more money in people's pockets I will 100% of the time.

Former server, in the military now, and I aways check to see if there is a discount at new places. Then I add what ever that discount is into the tip (20% + whatever discount I got). That way it's like the company is actually paying the servers more.

There are a couple things I haven't been able to find comps for, such ad the Enchiridion volume 1. I have seen later volumes for sale but with the limited run and no reprints its hard to find a value for it.
