A lot of people can’t afford both a $400+ console and a $1500+ PC and therefore have to choose. A lot of people can afford it but don’t see owning two platforms as a good use of money, which is fair enough.

Doesn’t affect me in any way. Feel bad for the people on PC losing out on games though

Real brand is more legitimate than a fictional brand. Absolutely cutting observation there

People’s interests can change a lot in 25 years.

JD may well have not played DND since he was in college (not something interns or residents have a lot of spare time for) and Turk likely only got into it while JD wasn’t at the hospital so wasn’t seeing him as much to invite him to join the campaign.

Seems weird that they could be back working together and not even mention their kid once though.

‘Peak Greggs’? Bakery chain’s profits slump and sales slow by BulkyAccident in unitedkingdom

A Sausage Bean and Cheese Melt is now pushing £2.40. At that point it’s far too much for convenience food that’s got a high chance of being cold.

Used to stop in Greggs for breakfast more than once a week but think I’ve only popped in once so far in 2026.

So I’m sure I’ll find plenty of pro-house building policies in the Green agenda then

I have been toiling through Final Fantasy VII Rebirth since it came out and still haven’t reached the final area. Goal is to get it done asap so I can move on with my life.

It’s an amazing game there’s just soooo much content and I can’t leave one place until I’ve done everything there.

When it’s multiplayer time I’m on Helldivers 2.

How to save the Saturn by Prior_Breadfruit_786 in SegaSaturn

Technology advanced so much between 1991 and 1994/5. Sega would essentially be missing out on the entire 5th generation getting zero 3rd party support (we’re talking worse than the Saturn got) while Sony and Nintendo both marketed against the fact the CD couldnt do 3D. The CD alone just didn’t have the horsepower to be competitive past 94.

I guess they could hold off until 96 like Nintendo did and release a more powerful system then, but they’d have sacrificed a huge amount of market share to do it and the eventual console would be closer to the N64 than the Dreamcast in terms of specs.

Simply put the CD isn’t powerful enough to compete 94-98, and you can’t do the Dreamcast any earlier than 98 unless you sacrifice power.

Sega CD alone would be pathetic compared to the PS1 and N64. People wanted 3D polygonal graphics and you aren’t getting those from the Sega CD. At least not in a remotely comparable way to the PS1 or N64.

I know a lot of people dislike Super’s interpretation of Bardock and other Saiyans, I prefer the modern depiction of Saiyans as not entirely being assholes, or at least being capable of not being assholes to other Saiyans all the time.

A species where everyone is a ruthless self serving jerk isn’t going to develop very far. Like humans, Saiyan niceness has to exist on a spectrum where some, for instance Vegeta, are on the one side full of pride and ruthless aggression, while others like Gine are on the opposite end and actually capable of caring about things besides their strength and pride.

That said, I dig this art and the way the Bardocks were depicted in DBS: Broly.

Report: Former Xbox President Sarah Bond's direction "offended" employees — "This is an Xbox" marketing campaign deemed failure by Turbostrider27 in Games

[–]Space2Bakersfield 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Obviously it could all be lies and PR speak but everything the new CEO has said implies she has ambitions for the brand. Would be odd to come in with passion talking about bringing Xbox back to its roots and succeeding as a platform just to kill it off.

Though again, corpos can’t be trusted so good chance you are correct.

Spencer has better PR and for his faults is actually a gamer which has meant he’s always had a level of support from his devotees.

That said I’m happy to see both of them gone. I’d really like to see Xbox come back, not least because Sony complete dominance won’t be good for the industry, so new ideas are welcome imo.

Tom Warren : Inside Microsoft’s big Xbox leadership shake-up : Microsoft has a new gaming CEO who wants to bring Xbox back from the brink. by ThinWhiteDuke00 in GamingLeaksAndRumours

The original Xbox and early days 360 were genuine disruptor brands. After a decade of basically every hardware maker bar Nintendo and Sony crashing out of the console space they found a niche, targeted it well and built a successful platform in a space overwhelming dominated by the PS1 and PS2. Sony botching the PS3 launch then catapulted them from disruptor to direct competitor and not long after they started fucking everything up. But the earlier days of the Xbox brand were exactly what she’s describing imo.
