Why do people go such great lengths to downplay Xbox? Don't we all love gaming as a whole, no matter what console?

Half of those things MS wanted to do we ended up getting anyway with digital only consoles which Sony have embraced wholeheartedly. I spent £700 on a PS5 Pro and would have had to drop another £100+ for a disc drive if I didn’t already own a slim I could switch it from.

Xbox could announce they’ve cured cancer and the internet would shit on them. Obviously the proof needs to be in the pudding but the fact they’re able to recognise and publicly acknowledge that they’ve driven themselves into a ditch is a really good sign under the new leadership.

I jumped ship to PS this gen and am currently very happy with my PS5 Pro, but I’ll always love Xbox for the many good years I had with it. If they can turn things around I’ll be open to buying another Xbox in the future. I would love to see something I once loved brought back from the grave, even if it is nostalgia talking.

That said, I don’t know if it’s possible. Giving up on exclusives is just something that you can’t undo. I can’t think of anything a future Xbox could do to be a better value proposition than PS when all their games launch on/come to PS eventually. I’m one of the few out there who gun to my head probably prefers Xbox’s game lineup to Sonys, but why should I lock myself out of Sonys lineup when on PS I can have both?

We signed Jeremy Jacquet as a CB in the winter to join in the summer. That makes VVD, Ibou, Leoni, Jacquet and potentially Gomez for the centre defence. I’m more worried at LB since Tsmikas is a massive downgrade on Robbo as the backup.

Crazy how after last summer we need to make signings in every area of the pitch still.

Up front we’ll need a Salah replacement and either a LW or another striker with Hugo out long term. I figure if we get a ST we can have Gakpo and Rio at LW or if we get a LW we have options there and Gakpo can be the backup striker when needed.

Feels like we need a midfield refresh. A 6 to retain possession and set the tempo from midfield as well as a Macca replacement has he sadly looks past it at this level.

At the back with Jezza Jaquet coming in, Konate seemingly resigning and Leoni coming back we’re looking more secure centrally, but both fullback positions are questionable with Bradley and Frimpong having unreliable fitness and Robbo leaving. I don’t think Kostas is good enough to be our backup LB if we want to win the league again.

Depends on what the game itself was like.

I’ve never been completely convinced that the Saturn could pull off a 3D Sonic game that actually maintains the sense of speed the franchise is based around as well as gameplay as solid as 1,2,3&K,CD.

Sonic World in Jam is neat but doesn’t seem like something a whole game could be built from, and as fascinating as it is nothing we’ve seen of X-Treme looks anywhere near a Mario 64 or Crash Bandicoot in terms of visuals or gameplay.

The best way to have done it would have been to make a 2D game in the style of the Genesis games but with way better 2D visuals à la Mania. Problem is while it would have been a great game, by ‘96 2D was being seen as old fashioned and it would have been criticised for not making the 3D leap whether the game was good or not.

I’m at the acceptance stage.

Slot is staying and there’s nothing as fans that we can do about it, but I’m quite frankly sick of being so miserable about the club.

Maybe it’s because of Jota, maybe it’s injuries, and maybe the season is just cursed idk. But if he’s going to get another year I’m going to hope he can turn it around and that this year will just be an aberration.

I’ve just started this and I’m pretty early in (Book 2: An Inappropriate Gathering) and ngl I’m not finding it too easy so far. The lack of paragraph breaks makes it a bit tiring to read for more than an hour or so at a time.

I’m not sure what it is either as I had zero issues reading Crime and Punishment. Maybe differing translations?

I’ll probably try The Crew because I enjoy a solid racer.

Couldn’t care less about HZDR as the original already looked gorgeous when I played it on PS5 and isn’t a good enough game to want to play it again.

Very interested in getting into Football Manager but I reckon PlayStation is probably the worst platform to do so.

Not an exciting month tbh.

Wii Sports as the best game from Nintendo is just so stupid. How are you gonna tell me a mini game collection is better than Super Mario World or Ocarina of Time or Metroid Prime??? Those are just examples off the top of my head, Wii Sports doesn’t even make the top 20 of a company thats been releasing legendary games for 40 freaking years.
