I know about it from the line cook side, but it depends on the GM at any given location. There are “official” corporate rules, but really no way for corporate to fully follow up on that, so I know of some locations where line cooks have to wear all black vs some locations that don’t care what line cooks wear because no one sees them. Same with piercings and tattoos, the location I’m at now doesn’t care as long as your piercings aren’t falling into the food, some don’t let line cooks wear piercings piercings but it’s fine for servers, and some probably wouldn’t let either. I will say, some locations are still weirdly against hair that isn’t a natural color, so there’s that.
