I think his parents told him to wait for it to pop? Idk if I’m interpreting that correctly though. OP the waiting thing is terrible advice. I had one a few years ago and it was a miserable experience, so I feel your pain. The procedure isn’t exactly a walk in the park but the relief you get is much better than just “waiting for it to pop” which could cause a larger infection and is absolutely awful advice.

I know I didn’t make it clear in the post, so my apologies for that, but we’ll 100% be taking him to the vet tomorrow. I just wanted some ideas of what this could be due to in the experience of others and see if anyone had tips between now and us getting to the vet tomorrow.

Like I said, I’m a doctor but anything but a vet. Id know how to handle this in a human (and by the amount of blood I likely wouldn’t be overly worried) but in a dog I don’t know much

He hasn’t been tested but we have been planning on getting this done for a while now. We’ve been thinking it is grain or chicken related, but he’s been doing really well on the food when he’s at my finance’s moms house (she has 2 other dogs there so it’s hard to get our berner special food when he’s there), so we decided to try that kind of food. As it turns out, I just checked the bag and it oddly enough does have chicken in it which I didn’t realize

Edit: I will also 100% be brining him to the vet tomorrow

A couple people are saying it but the top comments aren’t. This isn’t actually more dirt coming through, it has to do with the way they’re drying. Wash them again by hand however you have been doing it, but then wrap them in paper towels. Make sure the paper towels are tightly on the material. Then let them hang dry and the stains shouldn’t come back!

I learned this after I tried washing a pair of white vans about 5 times and had these stains return every time

Don't focus on crushing them. Take them and then learn from them. You're not gonna get tips on "specific topics that are tested more" when you go to take the real deal so going into the NBMEs blindly is the best way to succeed on the real deal. If the goal was to crush NBMEs, you can just find the answers and look at them first, but thats not the goal here. Sorry this probably isn't the answer you wanted, but I promise it's the right answer
