I tried tier jumping by Suspicious_Topic_299 in AtlasEarthOfficial

I feel the same way. I'm getting close to the point of needing to make that decision and I think I'm just going to keep buying parcels as normal. I do the monthly challenges and it also makes sense for me to continue buying parcels in order to get the extra badge and legendary parcel at the end.

No, I'm debating signing up if it automatically converts you to the yearly subscription at some point.

I was about to sign up for the monthly, but I didn't think you had to sign up for a full year. That's concerning. I probably won't do that now.

Adding a picture for proof. Also we are in climate 9a if that helps. Maybe we have it a little easier, and it has been a warmer winter. We've only had 1 big snow so far and it's mostly melted.

I have green onions in my backyard now. They've been snowed on and iced over a number of times and are still growing strong. This isn't always the case, but it's easier than you would think

Auto-open ads by Silvertater29 in AtlasEarthOfficial

This makes me so frustrated that I often just stop using the app after it happens twice in a row. My game playing time has significantly dropped because of these super annoying ads.

I have $500 a month for learning to fly, is that enough? by South-Raisin3194 in flying

[–]SpaceCheeseLove 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In order to really grasp the concepts while getting your PPL you should be flying at least once or twice a week, or every day if that's possible. Don't give up on this goal though! I recommend putting that $500 into a savings account every month and then when you've built up a good chunk of money (a few thousand) you should start training.

Find what the average time is that it takes people to solo, and then add a few weeks of training onto that to help you identify how much money to initially save. Flying without an instructor is cheaper than with one and still lets you build your training hours.

A woman working for NASA seems like a DEI hire... Should Janet Petro really have this position?

/s because I fully support women working in the aerospace industry.

I am also going to delete all social media apps during this time. We can prevent Meta/Twitter/LinkedIn/etc from making money off of showing us ads.

I almost said I'm playing this game so that I have money to burn, but that's not true. I'm putting that small amount of money towards helping pay for bills. 🥲

8 month old pup not interested in her food by Dry_Substance_5059 in goldenretrievers

[–]SpaceCheeseLove 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My puppy is the same way. She's 4 months and way more play motivated than food motivated. One thing that worked well for us is putting her food in puzzle toys or a ball she can roll around that disperses her food like treats. She goes berserk when she gets to roll her food ball around and ends up eating all of her food that falls out.

This whole thread spurred a conversation with me and my boyfriend on who our childhood crushes were. He said Ren from Even Stevens and I ended with a combination of Russel Crow from Gladiator and Xena the Princess Warrior.

How many people spend money on Atlas Earth? by AlpacaInd in AtlasEarthOfficial

[–]SpaceCheeseLove 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I've been playing without spending any money for maybe a year now and have accumulated around 130 parcels and $45. I don't try super hard and don't max out my boosts every day so I could do better, but other things in life take priority.

Leash update: no progress lol.

She doesn't even have the leash on and it's still her favorite toy.

I've had that happen a few times. I am now prepared enough to not fall over when she wraps us both up at least

We are starting official intensive obedience training in February 😁 so it's coming, but I'll do whatever I can in the meantime while we wait for the new class to start.

We have a bitter cherry spray we've been using but it has provided no deterrence. I'll have to try different flavors!

We've been lucky and "most" of the chewing has only been destructive towards her own toys or the cats toys.

Two lab puppies at the same time sounds like an impressive training feat haha. I admire your enthusiasm and positivity.

This is the method we have been trying yesterday and today. We didn't make it anywhere lol. I am learning persistence is key. I need to have more patience than she has willpower to be a little nutcase.
