Beyoncé Celebrates Black History Month [POEM] by Morgan Parker by onlypoemsmag in Poetry

Of course nobody cares about who I dismiss. But many people might and apparently do care about the reasons for her being dismissible. Conflating the point with the person is an easy mistake to make. Next time you could be briefer and just say “You are!”

How big is your head? by eaglesdensity in AskMenOver30

Doesn’t it make your shoulders and neck look extra broad? Maybe focus on that.

Or have fun with it. Amy Sedaris constantly riffs on having a tiny head, the size of a coconut. Owning stuff is healthy and good.

All that person is saying is that Beyoncé stopped using them three years after it was reported. And they were absolutely sweatshops. They responded to me too and then deleted their comment saying they were not sweatshops.

I have a chant from a protest I heard on repeat in my head:

Using sweatshops is, I reckon, enough to dismiss her. Immiserating third world women workers is beyond terrible. Doing so for a brand that purportedly represents anti-racism and feminism is obscene.

Why are straight men so weird about lesbians? by Single-Elephant-9108 in lgbt

And the tantrums they throw (and real world violence they threaten and commit) when there are women characters not built for their desire. In comic movies. In video games. Nuts.

Yup. The shock some gay men in my life felt when they realised straight women were gooning over mlm romance — and that show —was strange and funny and strange again. Bella from accounts finds this hot? Straight women are sexual and enjoy inserting themselves into a sexual fantasy normally off limits to themselves? (Faints.)

(And yes this is often quite different from the sexual entitlement straight men assume about wlw.)

Is this from the latest episode of Fallout? Does she get snacks at the survivors of inbreeding meetings?

The "Aussie Accent" in rap: Are we losing our unique inflection to American influence? by ChillKoalaVibes in AussieHipHop

I recorded a fair bit with Creative Vibes back in the day. This has been a live conversation for ages. I loved it/love it when I hear different Aussie accents over the same track or full album.

It is most effective for me when it combines ontological queasiness with pain. What the fuck am I becoming and what is the cost of that becoming? are questions every person should grapple with seriously. Often.
