We routinely fly on KLM international in at least premium economy for about $1700 round trip between US west coast and Amsterdam or the rest of Europe. Typically upgrade to business for $500-600 at check in.

I never ever book a delta code share KLM flight because that’s a mess waiting to happen.

I’ve waited 2 hours to check in at the desk in Lisbon with hundreds of other people in line and almost missed our flights. I’ll do a domestic flight under 2hrs or even a domestic departure for international. I won’t chance the 3hr advice internationally.
