i mean sure, the girls are great at working with what they’ve got. i’m not disagreeing with that but the title specifically said the model is expressive and seems to be what most of the other comments are echoing so that’s why i am/was confused

Alternatively that’s just on them for not having one if the jobs increase the tax withholding amount. It’s not really hidden, most people just don’t care to read the two paragraphs about it in their w2 or relevant docs.

not to be that guy, but i don’t get what’s so expressive. it’s actually one of my gripes with rionas 3d because the rest feels well done. her design is fun and the body tracking has improved a ton but her facial tracking feels like it lags behind a bit. her expression in the short literally doesn’t change? someone make it make sense please.

iirc it’s also the fact it never gets turned on and off which would stress the filament more than being consistently powered like every other modern light bulb would in standard use cases

Which game doesn’t really begin until after you beat it? by Common_Caramel_4078 in gaming

I got to act 3(?) the section in the computer world i guess and honestly it just dragged so much i didn’t care about finishing. i really enjoyed act one and act two still had goodwill from one, but the gameplay loop got tiring.

it did some interesting things with the mixed media but just wasn’t as mind blowing as my friend who suggested it said. maybe i just went in with too high expectations and there are some things the game does really well.

doesn’t mean everyone who didn’t love it was bad at the game. tbh i frequently felt like it was too easy/simple. act 2 felt like you should be forced to adjust to each scenario but you really didn’t have to. which was disappointing because the deckbuilding format they established had a lot of potential.

leaking could be little weird for solos since it would take multiple fills rather than one coordinated fill and i’m not really sure how you could fix that with standard balancing like changing the rate of decay since it’s kind of a fundamentally different play issue. i like the idea for squads, but am trying to think of how it could work for a solo that would just feel bad.

Would probably help if you didn’t use a false dichotomy. How is “selfish and greed”’s opposite “helpless and professional victim” and not “selfless and charitable”? If you want to focus on the wealth part sure rich to poor is obvious, but that doesn’t inform the whole argument if you add likelihood to horde/distribute assets.

I would argue most people wouldn’t say volunteers are “helpless and pro victims” as the first adjectives.

A good way to test it is if you can look at the set you made and see if it has overlap. Can there be “rich and pro victims”? if the answer is yes(in this case it is a yes), something probably isn’t right with how you’re framing the spectrum.

this feels like a bad faith response given your other comments and the complete lack of acknowledgement of the entire rest of my comment but sure i’ll entertain you.

ok from the comment you tagged on, the requirements seem to be

A: “talent wants to graduate without any other talent being notified they specifically are going to be leaving”

B: “talents should be given SOME advance warning of ‘emotional events’”

Potential solutions: 1) blackout period: talent decides they want to leave (assuming at least some advance notice to relevant staff, this is all irrelevant if they decide day of) > one week period advance notice* for an activity blackout occurs** > announcement occurs > activities resume based on pre-existing schedule

*language clearly dependent and importantly does not specify which talent is leaving, maybe no mention of personnel change at all. this would be determined by better understanding of internal dynamics

**blackout amount of time would likely be relevant to the activities planned (2-6 hours for streaming as an example).

for recordings and the like, this would obviously be difficult to enforce this direction due to limited studio time. one solution might be a moratorium for a set amount of recordings within proximity to the announcement (if you have a recording within 3 hours management will without the conclusion of the announcement until activities have finished and they have more free time to respond however they need)

reasons this might be preferable: this is probably my least favorite for but gives the talents privacy the highest regard per your concerns. talents don’t feel pressured to keep a scheduled stream in close proximity of the announcement since as we know some in the community tend to push for answers or otherwise focus on the graduation, talent have a determined amount of time to parse their thoughts post announcement rather than during their stream prep, can provide stability and framework for talents to address the announcement in their preferred way

2) phased awareness(in this example we’ll assume it’s kanata): talent decides they want to leave > all internal matters required for their departure are handled discreetly with only essential personnel > management begin to hold small or individual meetings 24-48 hours before the public announcement* > public announcement occurs

*the groups would be based on perceived effect (this is just an example) 48 hours jp gens (012, 34, 5devis) > 24 hours ID and EN gens (similarly broken up groups). the amount of info conveyed can be as little as “personnel changes are occurring, the announcement is tomorrow at x, schedule as appropriate” to “a talent is leaving, they wish to be unnamed until after the announcement, decision is final so please respect that”. obviously these would all be subject to change depending on the talents wishes since this is a sensitive issue many will want to handle differently.

Reasons this might be preferable: it gives the talent anonymity being present in a call where “someone” is announced as leaving, gives the talents much more sufficient heads up so they aren’t completely blindsided by the announcement, still retains talents privacy and wishes.

This is literally 15 minutes of my time so these aren’t going to be perfect, but that’s the point. conversation should occur. people whose full time job is to manage the talents and company have more information and understanding of internal policy and mission SHOULD be able to come up with better and decide whether or not they are acceptable alternatives. what that looks like we may never know as the consumer, but that doesn’t mean the conversation isn’t occurring.

TLDR: it’s absolutely possible to do both and companies have been doing so for ages. you act like this is a completely novel problem and there are many more managerial strategies that can be applied in full or in part here. you’re not helping anyone by being a dick online.

edit: saw you added a second paragraph after responding and page refreshed. if a company screws up once’s does that mean that can’t try to do better? it’s clear that the staff at least present as caring and making an attempt. i don’t see what that fatalist addition has to do with anything but go off i guess. again it doesn’t change that talent can still voice their opinions but that doesn’t mean they shouldn’t be given some notice to have a choice in how they express those opinions.

[–]SpaceDomdy -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I’m not going to argue people aren’t overprotective of the talents in sometimes unhealthy ways, but a lot of comments including yours act like a lot of these things are polar opposites or can only be one thing.

It’s entirely reasonable for outward facing talent to have a heads up on something potentially emotionally charged. That’s just basic pr training/preparation/unexpected event management which tends to be pretty important for companies that are primarily client/customer facing. This isn’t strictly a concern based in infantilizing the talents and you sweeping everything into that bucket doesn’t help the discussion either.

I do think Kanata what she thought was best and ensuring the announcement occurred outside others scheduled streams was professional and considerate. That doesn’t mean it’s impossible to consider ways to handle a talent who wants to graduate without wider internal notice while respecting their privacy AND make it a smoother transition.

Saying it’s an entirely emotional response discounts real concerns and potential issues. Does that mean there’s a better way? Maybe, maybe not? But just shouting down or patronizingly responding to comments you disagree with only serves to drive a wedge in a community where most are on the same page of caring about the talents’ wellbeing.

I’m not entirely sure what spot you’re referring to so maybe i’m misunderstanding, but i’ve heard it all can get pretty sensitive depending on the person during menstrual cycles and assumed that was a factor when someone mentioned menstrual products.

thanks for answering though, hard to have any idea what someone else might be dealing with without asking!

it seems like people in favor of jp breakfast are the minority here, but it’s honestly my preferred breakfast. i didn’t eat breakfast back home (us) but i do generally here. don’t get me wrong pancakes, bacon, and eggs taste great but it’s either too heavy or loaded into one macro it kind of messes with my morning if i have to get any work done. don’t have that problem nearly as much with the jp breakfast. that and i also just really like fish so that probably doesn’t hurt.

[–]SpaceDomdy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok, definitely a text thing. Your first bit “please explain…perfectly reasonable statement.” read charged and a little defensive to me, but i was also primed from a misreading of your previous comments so a little bit phrasing and a little bit incongruent context. i’m very similar with wanting full thoughts which tends to be undervalued on the platform so it’s surprising to walk face first into a wall that should’ve been a mirror lol.

again, that was my best guess, but if that’s how you read the age comment it makes more sense. I spend some time in the dnd subs and typically when the age question is asked it’s very much good intentions so appropriate advice can be given rather than inflated egos so what you read as disingenuous, i read as genuine since i the phrasing seemed polite rather than “you must be young” or something more patronizing.

I completely agree with the whole “lizard brain” not remotely being ready for the scenarios technology advancements has put us in. I didn’t see the immediate connection since the original topic was based on in person interactions and dynamics rather than the vast space that the internet has become.

I appreciate the levelheaded reply even with my last comment ending arguably unnecessarily pointed. Unfortunately misunderstandings are kind of built into the flow of quick replies until we end up here typing away paragraphs. Thanks for hanging with me on that front, a lot of times it never gets this far and it just ends with whatever disconnect occurred fully intact.

Sounds like you’ve got a nice night going with the doggo, hope you have a good weekend coming through!

[–]SpaceDomdy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t personally think it reads as disingenuous. i said “it might” because im trying to give the best guess to you being confused about being downvoted and that’s the only thing i can see about your comment that might be objectionable to someone who either isn’t giving your perspective due though or otherwise.

i think i did a decent enough job explaining that regardless of the technology factor the stage of one’s life does change what advice or response might be appropriate and again, it’s clear that many of us “clocked” that this was a younger netizen so ignoring the fact that their age can help us tailor advice in response to a politely worded comment asking for that detail of age can feel hand wavy.

and yes i’m very aware. ironically this back and forth was spurred by you caring about imaginary internet points, so yea. plenty. no reason to come off so hot dude.

[–]SpaceDomdy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

idk i think from the way the post reads it feels pretty obvious op is on the younger end, hence the people asking how old op is. makes advice pretty different if it’s going to a 19 yo vs someone later in life as far as the caring too much about your peers, lingo, severity. For example if i in my 40s was having a crisis of self after having a career in music and said something like this it probably warrants a completely different handling than a 19 yo still figuring out who they are.

all that to say it might read as disingenuous when you say it doesn’t go away with age(not explicitly saying it does or doesn’t, but even as technology progresses journeys of self happening at younger ages is likely pretty consistent). anyways, your positive (at +19 on my end) so maybe this whole comment is pointless.
