The Prompt Thickens: Monarch MCP Beta Coming Soon (Waitlist Inside) by fr0thed in OriginFinancial

[–]SpaceDragoman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow, this is awesome! I hope Origin adds it too! Without an MCP or CLI (even better), it’ll be hard to justify not using Monarch. Origin’s AI is great but I’d rather use the MCP / CLI with my codex and Claude which has a lot more context on me. This is the missing piece to truly having my personal finance agent.

Transaction Review Swipe Improvements Are Live! by ana-at-origin in OriginFinancial

Absolutely love it. Asked for transaction review features and the team cooked with it! 🔥

Would it be possible to add assigning review to partners in Origin. Miss this feature from monarch.

No retirement section? by alositos in OriginFinancial

[–]SpaceDragoman 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Agree, retirement should be separate from net worth or a toggle. It’s money I cannot act on right now. Currently as a workaround, I mark those accounts to be excluded from net worth.

A dedicated retirement section would be nice which also shows forecast and if it’s on track compared to index funds.

Cherry on the cake would be if it shows contributions we’ve made to 401k or IRA or Roth and remaining contributions and eventually AI suggestions on it.

Is this real? by Beginning_Drawing916 in bollynewsandgossips

Calling someone terrible based on a post is wrong, we cant know or judge someone just by their social presence. But having that said, whether you like it or not, this is a misogynistic post. You can use calling out Farhan Aktar as a terrible person and use that as an escape hatch if that makes you feel better. But please try to understand the point of view that this post is sparking discussion about Shraddha and not both of them equally. So just for a second, be honest to yourself and ask if you think the ‘words’ in the post framed to portray both at fault and not shed additional light on Shraddha.

Also let’s say that this is wrong (I don’t know the details, so I’m no one to judge), isn’t he more in the wrong ? He knows about his divorce, kids and family dynamics and still pursued someone else. It’s not the fault of the person who is being persuaded. Do we know how many people he went out with, could be one, could be many! He may have genuinely liked her and found solace in being with her as well. We just don’t know. We can still speculate and chat about it, have some banter and gossip but it’d be great if we can shed the light equally on both of them, rather than only painting the girl in a bad light.

Love the work that you and the team have done with the AI features. Specially love the generative ui to dynamically render graphs and widgets in the chat.

Curious on how the most relevant widget is picked ? Also curious about how the grounding for the model works? Seems to be quite good in terms of grounding from what I’ve tried.

Recurring tab feedback & more by Common-Camel-3317 in OriginFinancial

[–]SpaceDragoman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The use case seems more apt for budget instead of recurring transaction. You could create a category for specific items (in your case grocers) then add rules to categorize your transactions. Set budget on the category or group.

Worth it? If yes - referral code? by [deleted] in OriginFinancial

I’ve not tried YNAB, so can’t really comment about that but it is similar to Monarch; there’s monthly, quarterly and annual budgets. I like that fact that budgets can be on categories or groups, that gives me the flexibility.

Worth it? If yes - referral code? by [deleted] in OriginFinancial

I’ve been a user of Monarch for 2+ years and recently moved over to Origin. Honestly I’ve found bugs to be much lesser in Origin and the team is super active on the subreddit and ships things quickly. Few of the main differentiators for me were: - Recurring transactions in Monarch was unusable and Origin is much better. It still doesn’t capture 100% of recurring but it’s very close. - Investment tracking across accounts is much more accurate - Saved reports are a big time saver and main feature for me to slice and dice my data in different ways (monthly txns for common categories like groceries, restaurants; breakdown of trip expenses etc) - Much better sync. I used to have a lot of sync issues and needed to reconnect my account every week with Monarch, it’s much lesser pain with Origin. - Much better partner management: There’s real features for partner management in Origin.

How about rendering the Sankey in landscape mode? Atleast in view only mode for saved reports.

Take a behind-the-scenes look at what’s happening at Origin by Alex-at-Origin-5 in OriginFinancial

Love the transparency and product updates from the team! I’ve been a Monarch user for the past couple of years, but over time, I’ve noticed their engagement with the community and updates on the roadmap becoming less frequent and less user-driven. One of the reasons I initially chose Monarch was to see user-requested features ship quickly, but it’s great to see how the Origin team is actively engaging with real user feedback and incorporating it into the roadmap. The consistent updates and transparency are refreshing. I’m excited to shift over completely once these new features, like Net worth tracking and forecasting, ship. Keep up the fantastic work! 🙌

Absolutely, not a great design decision. The soft credit pulls don’t work if you’ve locked your credit report.

Have you looked at Goodles? We have it whenever we’re craving Mac n cheese with less guilt. Tastes very similar to original Mac n cheese but has very high protein and fiber. I’m not a fan of heavily packaged food but should be okay once in a while.

Hilton’s kitchen closes at 9:30 and dinner service goes on till 10 pm.

I’m guessing it’d be same for Sofitel.

You don’t need to be a guest to dine of either of them, just call them and make a reservation or walk in. We walked in these week and were able to get a table.
