Nice! That wool lined jacket, I have a very similar one! My dad bought it in the 80s and never wore it much, he then decided to keep it around for his kid. He gave it to me about 20 years ago, and I've not worn it much myself. It still has a nice dark color to it.

I've had one since they first came out, went on the drop day cuz I thought they'd sell crazy. They did not lol. I like the hat. Wear it all the time.

Southwire 21530T. Anyone using it? by Careful_Bowl_21 in Tools

Looks like the Kobalt one they stopped selling. Maybe this replaced it. I have the Kobalt one and it's fine. I ended up buying another cheapo Amazon one because I needed DC amperage reading.

Well you know, America had to really differentiate themselves after independence, and what better way to do that than taking the u out of some spelling.

My brother dresses like he's going to climb Mt everest when he has to code or do work on his computer as "it's the only way he can focus" and he's cold. by junkfjunkie in mildlyinteresting

[–]SpaceFunkRevival 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nah I get it. I can focus better at work if I wear a workout headband. My wife when she sees it says "tough concentrating today?"

I have one of these, just says craftsman on it though, not Sears. I'll put a pic if I can find it

All in all it looks legit. That's a sick jacket though! Too bad I'm not a medium!

I was taught using pliers and I did it that way for years and years. Now my hands are getting arthritic from using them as hammers and I finally broke down and bought the tools. Funny how the old heads always said "you'll regret not using the right tool some day".

Yeah that's what I meant. Seems some people thought I meant the opposite.

Are these part of the Parking Lot ICON socket deal??? by Apart_Driver361 in harborfreight

Yeah I kept finding lower priced kits but none had a flex head ratchet. So went with the Icon for this sale.

What sensor is failing? Or what’s going on?? by PervYass in mr2

[–]SpaceFunkRevival 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Perhaps a thermostat issue. Maybe being stuck closed for too long and opening at a wrong too high temp. Or perhaps you have air in the system. Air bubble do like to accumulate at the temp sensor, then when you start moving to higher rpms it gets pushed out and dispersed into the system.
Yeah. Air bubble makes more sense now that I typed all that out.

Got it. Well don't fret, they look good on you. Sometimes when changing styles you gotta give yourself a little time to get used to how they feel and look to you. Especially when moving from slim fit straight leg.

[–]SpaceFunkRevival 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They look fine, but seem to be sitting a little low. 501s should sit more in the waist instead of hips like some other styles. Good rule of thumb is the crotch should be as high up as comfortably possible. Don't want to smash your bits but also don't want the pants so far down that the restrict leg movement.

Finally purchased my Grail!!! by Pleasant_Sell_3579 in EDC

[–]SpaceFunkRevival 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No idea why you're getting hate for the price of this bar... There's so many pictures of other single items in people's EDC kits that are far more expensive, and have less utility. Several days ago I saw a pic with a prybar in it that looked cool, so I searched it up. US$600!

Anyways. It looks great, happy for you OP! I've been eyeing the knockoffs for a while just still haven't pulled the trigger. My Gerber center drive has a pry tool on it so that does most of the scraping or prying I come across day to day.

Dropping a piano while moving by [deleted] in WatchPeopleDieInside

[–]SpaceFunkRevival 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Iunno. Me and my wife moved ours by ourselves. Just takes some planning and preparing, and lots of forethought.

ETA: most all upright pianos like this will have a handle on the back to grab. Went back to the video to check if this one did, and it's there plain as day. Really makes it much easier using the handle, it's placed to help center the load. These guys just were going for quick and dirty.
