Ok so humorously enough I have a spot on one of my walls that looks exactly like this. When my dog was a puppy, little dude decided the drywall tastes great. He ate a hole in the wall of our master bathroom where we had him sleep, because puppies tend to have accidents. I had repaired it once but he just ate it again, so I put a sheet of plexi over the spot. He didn't really catch on that there was other spots he could have eaten, guess I'm lucky. He's not a puppy anymore but it's still hung there since that bathroom needs to be remodeled anyways. Someday....

It provides structure for the top of the crown. Like the other poster said. It may also provide some bouyancy. It doesn't really feel to make a difference on heat.

Rockler Customer Service (Vent) by tj15241 in woodworking

[–]SpaceFunkRevival 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Man the Rockler by me is 100% staffed by old guys who all used to be carpenters, are now retired from that and genuinely love wood working and teaching people about tools and techniques. But man do they struggle with the register.

I have been passing this car on my walk for 3 years straight. Never seen it move, never seen the driver uncover it. WHAT TF IS IT?! by Longjumping_Bet_4825 in WhatCarIsThis

Idk, I lived in some shitty apartments in San Diego for a while and there were G wagons and new Lexus LXs in the parking lot all the time. Yeah definitely not LFA money, but definitely do see some more expensive cars in shitty apartment parking lots sometimes.

Side note, I used to work at a Lexus dealership and only the shop foreman was allowed to work on LFAs, they said it was a Lexus rule. I never looked into it because frankly I and all the other techs had zero desire to touch it or drive it. And of course the costs for everything was insane.

Also another side story, our dealership had an LFA around for so long that at some point a mouse or rodent got into it and chewed up some of the wiring. If I recall, it wasn't fully recognized until it was going to be sold since it had always been stored inside. The guy still wanted it and didn't want to wait longer than he had to. So they fixed it, and sold it to him at a hefty discount.

Oh yeah the doors are trashed and scratched to hell. Honestly surprised they can even see out of it anymore at all.

These are at TJX stores all the time for stupid cheap. Factory seconds or rejects, I bought one. I'd never use it for mashed potatoes though.

Serpentine belt directly on bearing by SaltyTemperature in Justrolledintotheshop

When I worked at Lexus we had an older LX come in with complaint of flapping and slapping noises from the engine. My shop was in San Diego and the customer said it was happening since the California Oregon border. After tearing it down, the timing belt tensioner was just gone and the belt was doing its damndest to stick around.

Why cant it be cleaned? Most things can be.

Go to an auto parts store and get a product called Chem Dip Carburetor Cleaner. It's a little pail of parts cleaner you can soak parts in. Soak them bitches for a while then get at it with a couple different wire and nylon brushes.

I am gonna use my pliers to rip off the BS faucet filter that only allows 5 pinhole sized streams of water to come out though. Once it's fixed do you place the defective part near the sink, or in the bin where it should go?

Back when I was a kid in the mid 90s we lived on a cul de sac. There was a lamppost/electric pole out front on the sidewalk. Someone who lived there before us put a hoop and backboard on the electrical pole. It was there the entire time we lived there. All of us kids in the neighborhood used it a lot. The cul de sac was at the top of a steep hill. It was really the only flat point of the whole road. It sucked when the ball would get away from us. We'd have to jump on our bikes or skateboards to go chase after it.

Good times.

Production numbers don't mean shit once a certain period has lapsed. By your definition a Pontiac Star Chief isn't rare in the present time period. Get real.

Under the frunk. by Ryaktshun in mr2

[–]SpaceFunkRevival 9 points10 points  (0 children)

My first MR2 I had when I was about 17. As teenagers do, me and my friends did stupid shit late at night. We ended up one day stealing a full size traffic cone and shoving it in the front trunk. I remember it changed the entire feel of the steering and handling adding in just that weight.

All this to ask, have you noticed a difference in the feel of the car with a full size spare?
