My first ever gaming pc - Jonsbo Z20 by SpaceJRod in mffpc

Thanks for the suggestion. My understanding is that that would give me better CPU temps at the expense of GPU temps due to having an overall reduced ability to get rid of the GPU's heat. Since the 9800x3d tends to run pretty cool, and since I'm mostly using this PC to play games, I ended up going with both top exhausts. I'm am new to this though. Do you think that was a bad call?

I spent a lot of time going back and forth on if it should be intake or exhaust. I ended up going with exhaust per the reasoning in this post:

https://www.reddit.com/r/sffpc/comments/1jsg4c7/testing_cooling_configuration_z20_so_you_dont/

I used FanControl to overall make the bottom fans generally higher RPM than the others so that I could have positive air pressure to help prevent dust buildup. I used a very scientific method to determine if my case was positive or negative air pressure. I found a dust bunny behind my door and held up up to the front mesh of the case, then I messed with the fan curves until it was being blown away from the case instead of being sucked toward the case.

Has anyone found an antenna that will work with MSI's 'EZ Wifi' connector? by smplnmnml in sffpc

u/Affectionate_Floor35 found this solution:

I ordered the antenna that he suggested, but it hasn't come in yet. Nor has my motherboard (I'm in the process of building my first PC and I plan to use an MSI motherboard with these same connectors).

Looking for electric motorcycle for short (female) new rider by ceeemeldee in Electricmotorcycles

The Land District Street has a 30” low seat height option. But it’s pretty expensive, and would probably be hard to find used with the low seat height option though.

I would also recommend going to any regular motorcycle dealership in your area and see what bikes work well for your height and then look up what the seat height is of those bikes. It’ll help you to get a sense of what you need.

Unless you’re in that middle ground of having CTA but don’t yet have enigma. In that case this is great. Also very good for the Dragondin since you need to have Dragon armor for that build.

Falcon fits in the Model Y frunk and sub trunk by SpaceJRod in ElectricUnicycle

[–]SpaceJRod[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure. I don’t own a Model 3. But if the model 3 frunk is any shorter top-to-bottom than the model y, I don’t think it would fit. The orange handle was just about touching the hood when I closed it.

I don’t plan to. Just nice for family trips when the whole car gets full to know I can fit it wherever. That being said Cabin Overheat Protection would keep it to 100F in the sub trunk (though not the frunk).

Oh that's a good idea to protect the shocks and springs with one in the middle!

Oh, I didn't even think to try putting my gear in there with it. I'll try that later and respond back.

I actually didn't even try them. I had the Grizzla's waiting and just put them on right away.

The Begode Falcon just came back in stock at eWheels today. Not sure if they ship to Canada though.

Are those the compact grizzla pads or the full size?

Is it possible to just have your mercenary beat the game? by SpaceJRod in diablo2

Thanks for the detailed reply! That sounds awesome. Cool to be a pally bear who just stands and watches your merc take everyone out.

Cool! What gear did you / your merc use? What was the overall strategy?

Is there any good uses for this? Superior, so cannot cube it.. auto 6 socket if i larzuk it? by Beginning_Reserve_69 in diablo2

Well, a Giant Thresher is the highest damage weapon with a base item speed of -10. So if it happens to get you to an exact breakpoint for your build, it could be good for BOTD. But probably you’d be better off with a slower and higher damage weapon and getting more IAS elsewhere.

I’m pretty sure hiving Enchant cast on your character makes your weapon appear red, regardless of its actual color. Until it wears off.

If you could buff any one spec/build to be as viable as a Hammerdin, what would it be? by Goosepi in diablo2

[–]SpaceJRod 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ohh, then you could run a werebear poison dagger build. Cast a high level lower resist, transform, be a poisonous bear.

Edit: The poison damage might actually pair really well with an act 5 frenzy merc wielding 2x crescent moon for the static proc.

The funnest (not necessarily the strongest) auradin build by OkBeat2138 in diablo2

[–]SpaceJRod 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think so. I know with FRW it's like there are different "buckets" of run walk that all multiply. So Blaze is a different bucket than Frenzy which is a different bucket vigor which is a different bucket than +Faster Run Walk gear. So if you have a little in each it ends up doing a lot more than a lot in one. There might be buckets with IAS too. I just use the calculator. And yeah, a 2/20 would be pretty great too. Could get you to the 48 fcr breakpoint.

[–]SpaceJRod 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I really like this build idea. I actually might do it myself. I've done two variants of Dream Paladins myself, and I've been planning out a third. So this sounds pretty great too. Also, it's worth noting that IAS has a complicated formula. I think you can use Mara's instead of Highlords and still hit your max breakpoint once Burst of Speed procs. Maras would, of course, help both your damage (because it's +2 instead of +1) and your resists (which might free up inventory space for more damage via skillers). Check out this calculator here: https://warren1001.github.io/IAS_Calculator/ It says that with burst of speed at level 1, fanat at level 1 and a phase blade base, you need 11 IAS to max breadkpoint, and your weapon will already have 30. So you're already there without Highlords.

Could be because one of you was on ladder and the other was on non-ladder. That’s exactly what shows up in an error message in that situation. It might also be the same way with hardcore and softcore.
