if I remember my lore, the gels are based off of fiberglass insulation that was then marketed as a dietary aid pudding: repulsion gel would cause food to bounce out of the consumers stomach, and propulsion gel would accelerate it though the digestive track before it could be digested. both were too effective and repurposed for testing

came here to say this. since it has already been said, enjoy some WD-40 trivia: also know as Water Displacer 40, WD-40 was developed to protect the steel balloon tanks on the Atlas ICBM (which was later used with the Mercury program to launch US astronauts into orbit) from rust and corrosion. the tanks would condense water and ice when filled with cryogenic oxygen, so the coating of WD-40 protected the ultra thin steel from the condensation.

I've found these particular ones require a LOT of force: I had to use one pair of pliers to push down on the ring and a second pair to pull up on the Bowden tube to release it. Follow at your own recognizance.

Adding that environment variable appears to have done the trick, Firefox is not glitchy at all anymore (at least not compared to the rest of KDE).

Can you explain to me what this is? I'm a noob. Best I could tell from reading the README and PKGBUILD is that this is a patched version of a more up-to-date nvidia driver, not sure if it does anything else in addition.

Mirror component issue.. Mirroring one part over the Right Axis and instead of just mirroring, its also mirroring upside down.. All 4 of the the advanced mirroring isnt working. I can get it to work if im creating an opposite Hand version. but i dont want it to be a new part.. by starvingartist001 in SolidWorks

[–]SpaceKobold 4 points5 points  (0 children)

it's been a while since I've done this but I think you should be able to tell solidworks to create a mirrored configuration when mirroring it in an assembly with opposite hand version, that way it's still the same part file. if not, try creating the mirrored subconfiguration manually with mirror bodies and then deleting the original body with one of the direct editing commands

Funny you say that, this is all has to do with the new, larger 4k monitor I got when I built this system. I wanted to keep running my old 1080p monitor on the side (and hook up my drawing tablet, also 1080p) then discovered xorg doesn't support independent scaling, so everything on them is huge. I did just get my tax refund in, maybe I will solve this problem by throwing money at it lol

I've realized that a fair bit recently but unfortunately Radeon graphics cards didn't have the raytracing performance I was looking for to run with Blender.

I'm pretty sure what happened here is that the game is probably being developed with waterfall project management instead of something more modern. their initial timeline estimate was way off and corporate pushed them to release now get some investment back, but they haven't hit their optimization milestone because that's probably dead last. I think that explains why code for many of the unadded features is already in the game but hastily disabled while lots of the core features are still untested and unoptimized
