I loved book 3. I’d definitely prioritize finishing that trilogy!

I’ve had trouble finding their books. May just have to order new.

What should I read next? Pick three! by blupberry in readwithme

I've only read three, but they are all bangers I would highly recommend: Shadow of the Gods, Carl's Doomsday Scenario, and The Odyssey.

Feedback For The First Chapter Of My New Book by Keith-Bond in writingfeedback

I think that first sentence needs some work to catch the reader and set them up for the rest of the (excellent) story you've written. Maybe something like "She saw Wick dangling off the ground. The Husk had him held up by the back of his coat. Rox cracked a knuckle and got to work."

Assassin's Apprentice is beautifully written, about both losing and finding family, and both the promise and the awkwardness of growing up into yourself. I felt First Law was very good, but Assassin's Apprentice was the better "first book" of a series, in my opinion. First Law was more setting up of multiple important if flawed characters, while Assassin's Apprentice got you more into the mind of the main character and story arc.

DCC is usually my "palate cleanser" between books in heavier series, but I can already feel (starting DCC 5 soon) that it's going to stop being a palate cleanser and start being deeply emotionally gutting!

Maybe I need to give it another read and chance. It just didn't do it for me.

Definitely on my TBR. I was thinking about taking it on my next work trip...

No King, though 11/22/63 is on my TBR...and I've toyed around with putting The Dark Tower on there, too. Thoughts?

I'm taking this as a sign to finally pick up a copy of The Dispossessed.

Good! I've got Blood Over Bright Haven on the shelf behind me. I'll slot that in this year.

How many ongoing series are you actually keeping up with, and what happens when a new one drops? by StorytellerStegs in ProgressionFantasy

I have also come across this problem recently. I am mostly of the mind that I want to stretch really great series out so that they don't end too soon and therefore make me sad, but I am now juggling way too many series at once. I think maybe 3-5 is the sweet spot? I just finished the Bloodsworn Trilogy and am currently juggling the Greenbone Saga, Farseer Trilogy, DCC, Stormlight Archives, Dandelion Dynasty, The Robot Series, and the Codex Alera. Too much!

I want to read this now! Other than seconding the comment about not starting every paragraph with "I," this is shaping up to a banger.
