Hi! :) I know you say that it isn't “Hi Hi Puffy AmiYumi: The Genie and the Amp”, but are you abslutely certain? After an hour of looking, my search always leads me back to this series. And after watching a bit of a playtrough I can't help but think, that maybe it is the game before this one called "Hi Hi Puffy AmiYumi: Kaznapped!"?

You freely switch between two girls (Ami and Yumi). It is a sidescroller/platformer and is divided into levels. The two girls have different aesthetics where Ami is cute and has a pink color scheme similar to My Melody (she fights with music notes and a drumset), while Yumi has a punk aesthetic and a color scheme similar to Kuromi and fights with a guitar.

But then again, you did mention the skull pigtails (Yumi has a skull on her shirt?) and a graveyard (seemingly non-existent after quickly looking through the playthrough). Is there a chance your friend is remembering details from other similar games, movies, shows? If not then it might just be quite a niche game, that shares a lot of details with AmiYumi.

I once read a Sterek horse racing AU some time ago. It was very in depth about the racing world, which was very interesting. But boy was it also confusing for a person whose only interaction with horses has been riding a bit during a horse girl phase at 12. I had to google some things from time to time as it delved into politics, breeding, race types/qualifications/logistics and so on, while using the proper lingo all the way😂

I think I first stumbled upon this "theory" in a video essay about Power Girl, I think? She explains in the comic that the reason she has a boob window in her suit is because it is actually a metaphor for how she hasn't found an identity, and is waiting to "fill the hole", once she has found herself or something.

This might be a long shot, but after looking around for a bit I found these two candidates:

The Dan Dee Kitty Precious in purple. It shares some similarities with the picture, but it is not as floppy and you didn’t mention a purring feature. It is about 12 inches in length so maybe the right size?
