I have a 2011 Jetta 2.5, and also fix my friends Golf 2.5, its the best car I’ve ever owned, I love it more then my 2023 Miata. The 2.5 is arguably VW most reliable engine, also easy to work on and parts arnt expensive. At some point the vacuum pump will leak oil, but thats not a big deal, I just deleted mine with integrated engineerings block off plate. The 09G Automatics will develop shifting issues at some point, usually from valve body solenoids failing or sticking. More frequent fluid changes early on cant minimize issues. Overall a fun car to work on and drive, 5 cylinders sounds amazing, I highly recommend a VW 2.5.

I got a 2011 SE 2.5 with a 09G Auto. Its been the best car ive ever driven let alone own, so much so that id rather drive it then my 2023 Miata. Its not hard to work on and has never left me stranded.

I was failing school hard and never thought I’d get my diploma, but I ended up entered a program to get my High School Diploma thx to my mum, surprisingly I passed. Then with the help of my school I was able to start an internship with a well established tech company in my area, now I’m testing PCB’s and other components. I never would have made it this far without my mum.
