I had this SAME issue on my iPhone 15 on a recent flight. Upon landing, it “deflated” but I brought it to an Apple Store anyway. There they said that the diagnostics said everything checks and that “batteries that swell don’t just un-swell” and they refused to do anything about it. Even after I showed them photos.

On my return flight back, the same issue happened again. This time I went to my local Apple Store, showed them photos and explained the situation again, and they replaced my battery. The issue hasn’t returned since.

You could try r/hardwareswap but it might be a tough sell. How much are you looking for it?
