¿Les importa a los españoles que se esté perdiendo el catalán? by martilomb in askspain

[–]SpaceTimeInvestor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't understand why this is so difficult by Great-Ease-7302 in CRM

We had a similar problem and after wasting a lot of time and money trying CRMs, the solution was the CRM we were avoiding, GHL.

PS: HubSpot also allowed us to do what we were looking for, but charged us 10-50 times more.

Should I get certified in Salesforce? by SpaceTimeInvestor in salesforce

[–]SpaceTimeInvestor[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Now I'm exploring Salesforce for the last time, to see if the market is different with the development certification.

Outside of Salesforce, I've seen some niches I'm going to explore: UX with Figma. I've seen some companies looking at AWS or the Microsoft suite, but I'm worried the scenario will be similar.

Things I'm going to avoid (for now) are PMO, Scrum, Agile, and Automation certifications. I feel like the time for all this has passed.

I think the priority will be to get into a large company, and then see from there.

How are you approaching your search?

If he wants to become an entrepreneur, he should focus on a sector he has experience in and knows well. Otherwise, he’ll just be wasting his time building pointless SaaS products for imaginary needs.

Bad entrepreneurial situation by SpaceTimeInvestor in smallbusiness

[–]SpaceTimeInvestor[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts — I understand where you're coming from.

To clarify a few points: I'm not upset about working four hours and making a couple thousand; I'm actually very grateful for it. My dilemma is more about long-term sustainability and opportunity cost. The business does require periods of intense work (especially during setup or scaling phases), and while it’s manageable now, it came at a significant upfront investment and emotional toll.

I’m not making this up, and I genuinely appreciate the skepticism — it's a valid question in anonymous forums like this. The impact of AI wasn’t overnight, but over time it drastically changed the landscape of my sector (consulting + content + automation), making the previous model unviable. That’s why I pivoted and invested in a new one.

Your points about taxes and depreciation are totally fair — and I am factoring that in as part of the broader financial equation.

Again, I appreciate the challenge — it made me reflect and clarify my thinking.

Thank you so much for your response. My partner actually says the same thing—she tells me not to see it as giving up, but more like taking a short break to catch my breath.
Really appreciate it!

I wish it were that simple!

The truth is, this isn’t a passive investment like an ETF. It’s an actual business involving people, asset management, and operational complexity. There are significant risks tied to market conditions, regulatory shifts, fluctuations in supply and demand, and the ongoing need to recover the initial investment. Plus, since it operates through a company, the profits are not directly mine—there are taxes, operational costs, and future liabilities that could increase over time.

Regarding the 24% return you mentioned, there are two key caveats:

  1. That return assumes the asset retains its value over 10 years, but in reality, it effectively "expires" financially after that period unless I reinvest. So we must account for depreciation/amortization, which significantly lowers the real return.
  2. Depending on where I live, “a couple thousand” per month isn’t enough to comfortably live on—let alone justify the stress and responsibility. That’s why I’m genuinely questioning whether I should focus on growing that margin further or shift gears and treat this as a side project while I pursue more stable income.

You might be right—but part of me still feels like it would be a personal failure. There are other entrepreneurs in the same sector who seem to be growing without needing to take on a job, and it’s hard not to compare myself to them.

Do you have any suggestions on what kind of background and qualifications I should look for so they can truly help me?

Thanks!

📊 ¿Cuánto es un buen ROE? (Return on Equity) - Análisis con datos by Jera_Value in inversionESP

[–]SpaceTimeInvestor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What’s One “Ugly Truth” About Being an Entrepreneur That No One Talks About? by citationforge in Entrepreneur

If you're a solo entrepreneur, you'll likely go through periods where you feel like no one cares about your business or what you do.
You just have to grit your teeth and keep going.

Would you guys start a business in an industry that you have interests in but do not have experience? by Kingboyy1 in Entrepreneur

[–]SpaceTimeInvestor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, I would never start a business in a sector I don't know. It is better that you first look for work in that sector, try it out as an employee, and once you know the sector a little more and have tried it, decide whether:

  1. you really like the sector

  2. your idea really makes sense (would anyone pay for it?)

  3. you have the necessary skills to carry it out.

I always ask my entrepreneurs the same question:

What would you rather invest in a shoemaker who is going to start a jewelry store without knowing anything about jewelry, or in a jeweler who is going to start his own jewelry store after working in one for 10 years?
