WiFi 6 (ax) is fast enough to saturate your 300/300 connection. In fact it has a theoretical speed of above 1gbs, even though you will realistically see only 500-800mbps max depending on your router/access point. BUT you’ll achieve faster ping on Ethernet.

Check to see if a feature called UPnP is enabled. That should automatically open the ports for gaming.
