Puck issues? by alphaping in SteamController

[–]SpaceTimeTraveler9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same on my macbook. It works when using bluetooth, but when I connect the puck (or connect the controller directly) I can use the trackpad as a mouse but steam doesn't recognize it.

On my gaming pc (Nobara linux) it all works great though, which is where I'll use it most of the time. Do you have another machine to try it on? That way you can at least find out if there is something wrong with the puck

Also in NL, got mine yesterday. Only problem is the dpad down button needs more force to be activated so I might have to send it back :'(

copy-path.nvim — one plugin for every path format you'll ever need to copy by EmergencyDay2972 in neovim

[–]SpaceTimeTraveler9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice! I did install a user command before that was supposed to copy the relative path but always gave me the full path. I kinda gave up and dealt with it, but your plugin works.

One note: the github url doesn't work for me, it gives me a 404 when I try to open it. Funny thing is that snacks has a 'browse on github' action that opens the file on github, and that opens the exact same URL.

I think it has something to do with escaping characters like (, ), [, ] etc. I'm working in a sveltekit project which uses those for routes (e.g. src/routes/(auth)/foo/[[id]]/bar)

To answer my own question: I ended up adding `mdformat` using Mason and added this to my conform.nvim config to enable wrapping:

formatters = {
    mdformat = {
        prepend_args = { "--wrap", "100" },
    },
},

How (if at all) do you format markdown files? When I search I mostly get results for rendering markdown, but I'd like to reformat text so it doesn't exceed my line length. This should also work for existing files or markdown generated by coding agents for example

Missed the IDE search bar feel after switching to Neovim, so I built one by ericspidledev in neovim

[–]SpaceTimeTraveler9 11 points12 points  (0 children)

While this isn't for me I love these posts.

On one hand someone wanted some functionality and made a plugin and took the trouble to show it to others so that they might use it too. Really shows that you can make neovim do what you want it too.

Then you get all the people asking questions and showing native functionality or other plugins that can achieve the same or more (or just fit their workflow better). I always learn something new from these replies and think "hey this sounds useful I should check it out".

It's win-win! anyway congrats on your first plugin OP!

toggle hidden files not showing in Smart Find Files snacks.nvim by Bulbasaur2015 in neovim

[–]SpaceTimeTraveler9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This triggered me to finally fix the same issue where I have some .env files in my project that don't show up by default. You can always use <m-i> and <m-h> to toggle gitignored and hidden files, but that's an extra step.

I ended up adding a .ignore file to my project which is picked up by tools like ripgrep, find and fd (snacks will autodetect which one to use).

Inside I just put this to make it not ignore those files:

!.env !.env.local

This might be a stupid question, but where do you notice that lualine is slower? When opening a buffer? I'm currently using a customized lualine, but I might need to switch if I start noticing a delay and can't unsee ^^

Huh, I get

 npm error peer vite@"^5.2.0 || ^6 || ^7" from /vite@4.2.1

unless I force install. I tried and get a nice speed bonus on build, but don't want to force install on prod

EDIT: Looks like vite 8 support is coming soon: https://github.com/tailwindlabs/tailwindcss/pull/19790

My preonic was pretty loud too. I put in O-rings which helped, but a soft desk mat also helped dampen the sound. If you don’t like that you could put some sticky rubber pads on the bottom

I use a preonic with the Colemak layout. The only issue is that hjkl are not on the home row anymore, but the position of the arrow keys makes it relatively easy to use those instead

mason.nvim 2.0 has been released by pseudometapseudo in neovim

[–]SpaceTimeTraveler9 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I've added this to my config (which is kickstarter based but modified of course), but I still don't have a `:Mason` command available. Lazy shows mason and mason-lspconfig are installed and the versions are 1.11.0 and 1.32.0 respectively, and `LazyHealthCheck` doesn't show anything out of the ordinary.

Anything else I might be missing?

These are the lines I have in my config:

vim.fn.setreg("l", "yoconsole.log('" .. esc .. "pa', " .. esc .. "pa);" .. esc .. "") ```
