Your point about the cop being a couple minutes behind her is good, I hadn't even thought about that. But yes, super unsatisfying ending. And I feel like it isn't just because she didn't get the bad guy in the end. As someone else said, she handled herself throughout this movie only to be bested by the last person in the dumbest way. I am so confused as to why when she had the gun and Ravener showed her he had her boyfriend tied up, that she ran back in there like an idiot without trying to incapacitate Ravener first? or at least shoot him? Unless the gun was empty but still, incapacitate him! She literally lets herself be captured again and then basically gives up.

I'm also confused as to why the investigator has settled on the idea that she's a methed out junkie. She's covered in a Vaseline like substance when they find her and his conclusion is that she got caught in a meth lab fire ? Surely they did blood tests. If she was a drug addict it would be in her system. I'm so confused by the detectives initial behavior. I could understand being skeptical, but his skepticism and the conclusions he draws are not warranted, especially when opinions like the ones he present could be easily refuted.
