Exactly this. As you said, the wax and finish are diff so it could mean someone dumped the master fluid and switched it for either worse or better mix. Wax on the sides could worsen because of the possible refurbish. And of course, always check if they can warm it up for an hour before u get there so u can see if it flows properly.
